2011 MCAS Beaufort Air ShowLogo Design Contest

Kept all text in blue or white on blue. Tip for CH: a basic rule for logos and graphics work is to never have yellow or gold lettering on white without a dark outline or border. It is very difficult to read no matter how prominent it may look in a design, especially from a distance (signage, etc.). Used a circular design as more of a "patch" look, added slight shading in "Airshow" which can be made bold if needed. Design can be done with or without slogan without changing the overall logo.

This looks good, could you try a treatment without the circle, just the plane and text elements, perhaps some of the stars?

Added black as a color & enhanced "Airshow". Kept the same concept w/stars yet took out the circles per your request.

Used the "Missing Man Formation" in a couple of designs - saluting our fallen veterans. Thought it might be appropriate and/or a simple added gesture to honor our military.

Left a star to represent the missing man in the MM formation, centered MCAS Beaufort, giving the design more overall balance.

"Missing Man Formation" again used to honor our fallen veterans - revised the look to make it more natural looking, have the planes flying towards the viewer coming out of a sunset.
