Entertainment

Color Preferences

Yellows gold, warm organic colors. I don't see blue, Purples and a high tech feel as this is a throwback, retro type feel.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

Check out the festival logo on http://www.cmaworld.com/default.asp I'd suggest looking into research on Nashville, maybe early days of Motown, Sun Records and general music history. The town of Maysville, Georgia on the web will paint a picture of how small and out in the middle of nowhere this place is. Railroad and Train silohouette or shape coming through a sun ray shape with Maysville word big might be an idea- but not black clip art looking. Be free to think creatively!

Do you want them on a fake background - or isolated as you would use them? You placed #1 in first place, but you aren't interested in #2 - but if that one (#1) were to win, it would come to you on a white background (as it's shown in #2). Same with #22 - it's a nice presentation, but you wouldn't use it on that background (raster image)?

Sorry if I'm not making any sense...

jecrt.... regarding your comment.. i showed them the logo on a white background as well. (as well as how it works in pure black and white in a small size) I'm assuming they kept the one that shows the 'deluxe' version on a background just to simplify things..

regarding the image.. my background image can be easily converted to vector version of it so that it is scaleable when needed.

i just wish printmarket direct and literalkid would not be so .. well.. literal,
when being inspired by the highest rated design.

even thought the colors and fonts and some elements are different...
lets look at how you would describe his logo in WORDS:

• all caps MAYSVILLE
• with script font for the word Records ,
• almost the IDENTICAL same angle as mine
• and in literalkid's case... also showing it on a textured background..

is this what this website is all about ???
just doing versions of the highest rated designs as close as possible and trying to win it out from under the person who had the original configuration or concept???

this is getting quite frustrating..

ShnickStudios..."poaching" is an understatement. Maybe these are really contest to see who's the best at it...LOL Speaking of "poaching" Hey JRdesign, what's that font? I wanna use it too...kidding!!

I understand your frustration, JRdesign but I don't think caps, a different script font and a rotating angle are "poaching". If that's the case, you've just ripped off a billion other logos that use caps, any script font and a rotation. My logo looks nothing like yours. Congrats on holding first though!
