Our Target Audience:
Our target audience is property and business owners in the affluent suburban community of Montclair, NJ. Customers are located in New Jersey, firmly in the heart of the NYC metropolitan area. Potential customers have a median household income of over $100,000 according to the Census.
Our customers have discerning tastes, often for luxury finishes or true-to-history restorations of their treasured properties in our neighborhood.
Our customers are often Wall Street types, bankers, lawyers, and other high-net-worth individuals that expect more polished branding and overall job execution from their contractors.
Our target audience is both male and female, as we find the role of "home construction manager" can go both ways nowadays.
Our company uniforms are navy blue polo shirts with white lettering and duck canvas pants (dark tan).
Navy, white and black are good base colors.
The logo will be reproduced onto a white van as well as various white stationary and white business cards.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Our logo needs to be clean and simple as well as easily reproducible on white backgrounds. We don't want any "clip art" style icons in the logo of tools. If you've got a great idea, go for it, but in general were not looking to have any cartoonish looking hammers or rulers, etc. in our design.
Our customers aren't strictly residential, so any design that references a "house" as opposed to a "property" in general may not be ideal. We want to maintain our status as both a general contractor for homeowners as well as a unique consulting resource for commercial construction projects that we enjoy working on like restaurant build-outs, custom large-scale marketing installations, and other unique projects in the B2B arena. On the other hand we definitely want to remain accessible to residential customers, so designs that evoke feelings of skyscrapers won't really fit either.
