Will we also be able to get the logo with the blue and black backgrounds? Thanks again! 6 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #164 Thanks so much for working with us to create and amazing logo! 6 months ago jjbq commented on #168 Withdrawn Awesome Matthew! That was my favorite thickness as well. Its a good choice, also for printing purpose, the other was good also, but when the line its more thicker its better specially if it´s balanced with all the design. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 6 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #168 Withdrawn This looks great! The last thing that we decided is that we like the thicker line for the oyster. Other than that, I think we are very happy with the design. 6 months ago jjbq commented on #167 Withdrawn You´re welcome Matthew! Yes sure I can, I´ve submitted already so you can appreciate. Let me know if it´s all okay. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 6 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #167 Withdrawn Thanks for all the corrections. Last one, I think, can you make the top of the oyster meat simply rounded (currently, it mimics the shell up top). I attempted to put a line where that roughly should be. 6 months ago lmatthewlewis added markup for #167 Withdrawn 6 months ago jjbq commented on #164 Hello dear Matthew, I hope you´re having a beautiful weekend! Yes sure I can, I´ve submitted already so you can appreciate. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #164 Can you add the oyster meat to this mockup, so we can see it with this one? We’ve decoded on this thickness. Thank you! 7 months ago jjbq commented on #163 Withdrawn You´re welcome Matthew! Yes sure I can please check revisions and let me know if it´s all okay. As always feel free to ask if you need anything more. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #163 Withdrawn I feel that we are so close that I will just send a couple more tweaks here. Can we lessen the space after "Vashon" and before "Island" bringing those words closer to the graphic? Finally, can we make the oyster outline a little thinner to see what that looks like, please. Thank you! 7 months ago jjbq commented on #161 Withdrawn You´re welcome dear Matthew, I´m totally fine with what you prefer. If you want we adjust here on the website if you find easy and you are having fun doing it better. Or after the contest is complete its fine also. I just need when you finish the contest for you to tell me this is the final logo no adjustments needed or that you will still need to do some adjustments and we can make a meeting that´s fine. I´m saying this cause when clients finish the contest I assume the logo is final and I work on the final files you will need on the future and It will took me some time around these to make sure all is ok and you have all you might need. So feel free to do as you want Matthew, its fine for me since its a pleasure to work with you. I´ve submitted the new updated versions on the "T" and with the outline of the oyster following the lettering in a more softer way so you can appreciate. If you need anything else just let me know. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #161 Withdrawn That Vashon Island spacing looks good! Thank you. Do you want us to declare this the winner and then we work on some final refinements? Or should we work through the refinements before declaring the winner? For example: adjustment of the T in Auster, so it's a little less wide. Softening the transition between the oyster outline and where it meets the Maury Auster banner. Really enjoying working on this with you! This is exciting! 7 months ago jjbq commented on #158 Withdrawn Hello dear Matthew, I appreciate your feedback and no problem at all, you always in time. I´m glad you will use this amazing logo, really happy to see the brand usage in the future. Please check here and let me know if it´s all okay with the spacing: #161 If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #158 Withdrawn Hello, So sorry for the delay, we were out of town but are excited to declare you the winner. We are hoping that you could still make some minor tweaks on this design. We would like to clean up the spacing on "Vashon Island, WA " giving it a bigger space after the comma and WA 7 months ago jjbq commented on #108 Withdrawn You´re welcome Matthew, And please feel free to take the time you need. Anything you might need I´ll be around. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #108 Withdrawn Thanks for these updates João - really appreciate it, as well as your thoughts too! We're spending some time with them today! 7 months ago jjbq commented on #108 Withdrawn Hello dear Matthew, I appreciate your thoughts and feedback as always. Please check revisions and let me know what do you think. So you know #108 was always my favorite, I´m glad you got to this one again. In my personal opinion, #158 , #159 are the best ones. With this I mean more balance in an aesthetic way and being visible at the same time. I believe #160 breaks a little the shellfish been bellow the main title. Just some thoughts. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #108 Withdrawn One other decision: Let's iterate on this knockout version, but we will want to add the shaded oyster background as an option to the final logo suite. We'll wait until we get this hierarchy figured out though. 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #108 Withdrawn Hi João - thanks so much for working through these with us. We definitely want to iterate from this design as the base. Some decisions on our side: - Oyster Outline Shape: This the right outline for sure. So let's stick with this one. - We do not want to have the Vashon Island shape at the top. Let's keep it as an element at the bottom - "Vashon [outline] Island, WA" is not going to be legible on and Instagram post for example. I think seeing the size and weight a little heavier (or a different font) will help here. We want it to still be balanced, but also more legible when it's small. Next steps: working through the placement ad hierarchy of Vashon [outline] Island, WA and Shellfish: 1. Maybe we try "Shellfish" directly under Maury Auster, and straight across then the Vashon [outline] Island, WA in the swoop at the bottom? 2. Then Vashon [outline] Island, WA straight under Maury Auster like now, but a more legible font type and Shellfish still across the bottom like it is now 7 months ago jjbq commented on #152 Withdrawn You´re welcome Matthew! Its my pleasure to work with you on your brand. Please check revision and let me know if it´s all okay. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #152 Withdrawn Yes, I totally agree! We were planning on using the meat as a variation. I think #152 is very close to it. How hard is it to rotate just the shell a few degrees to the right, leaving the text exactly where it is, so that the point of the shell is in line with the tip of the island graphic. Also, can we decrease the font size a little on “Vashon Island, WA,” but add character spacing so that it keeps the same length but makes the letters a little smaller. I want it to be there but want it to blend in a little more. Thank you so much for being so accommodating and patient with our requests! 7 months ago jjbq commented on #152 Withdrawn Hello dear Matthew, Yes sure we can. Please check revision and let me know if it´s all okay. The one with the meat in my opinion should be a variation since its a bit more complex. The main logo in my opinion should be #152 or similar ones without meat, cause the meat part its an watermark and for printing purposes will work well, special on marketing materials like stationary, videos, social media, but if you want to do a sign for example with neons or anything that follows the structure of the design, the meat will not work. It just a personal opinion. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #152 Withdrawn This is exactly what we were thinking of! Can we see this same exactly design with the addition of the meat in the shell too? 7 months ago jjbq commented on #151 Withdrawn Hello Matthew, I appreciate your feedback. Ok I got it now. Submitted revision, please check and let me know if it´s all good. If you need anything more feel free to ask. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #151 Withdrawn The text looks great. We do not want the extra grid lines up top but like the outline of the shell. 7 months ago jjbq commented on #149 Withdrawn Hello Matthew, Yes sure I can please check here and let me know if it´s all okay: #151 If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #149 Withdrawn Can you use the shell outline with umbo from design #108. Also, can you have “Vashon Island, WA” follow the curve of “Shellfish” 7 months ago jjbq commented on #54 Withdrawn Hello dear Matthew, I appreciate your awesome feedback and I´m really glad you will use this stunning logo for your business. I´m really proud of this brand, I love this style since its really unique and you will for sure have a beautiful logo to use! I´ve submitted updated versions based on your comments so you can appreciate. After the contest is finish if you need to fine tune details that´s totally fine, after the contest is complete clients and designers are allowed to change private info and we can even do a zoom call if you think its easier to check things together. I will just need in the end for you to tell me that the logo its finish so I can work on the final files. Let me know if you need anything more or have doubts Matthew. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #54 Withdrawn Actually, can you leave the island graphic and just take the est part away. We still want to see point 1 and 3 above 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #54 Withdrawn 1. Can you update this one with the updated outline with the umbo? 2. Update “ESTD 2024” to Est 2017” 3. Then add ”Vashon Island, WA” above shellfish? We are trying to add that in and want to see if it is still balanced, and not too busy. We are really close to choosing your design. Will you still work with us to fine tune the details? 7 months ago jjbq commented on #124 Withdrawn I´m glad you like it Matthew and I appreciate your quick updates, take the time you need please. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #124 Withdrawn I think we are on to something with this! I’ll wait for my partner to chime in on this before I make adjustments but a really really like it 7 months ago jjbq commented on #113 Withdrawn Hello again Mathhew, I appreciate your feedback as always. Please check revisions and let me know if it´s all okay. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #113 Withdrawn I like what you did with the oyster here. Instead of the ‘MA’, I think it would be cool to put the graphic of Vashon in the middle, like and Easter egg, and let the lines trace around it. 7 months ago jjbq commented on #108 Withdrawn Hello again Matthew, I´m happy you like the updated design. Yes sure I can, please check these suited with the brand vibe but for horizontal orientation and let me know if it´s all okay: - #109 | #110 | #111 | #112 |#115 If you need anything else just let me know Matthew. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #108 Withdrawn This is great and the umbo we are looking for! As we move forward and if this design is chosen, is there a simple horizontal design that can come out of this? Thinking if we need to print on lanyards or narrow places. 7 months ago jjbq commented on #73 Withdrawn You´re welcome Matthew, I appreciate your directions. I totally agree with you, the simpler the better, specially for future usage you can use this in various ways on sign or other marketing materials since its flat and clean. I´ve worked on the bump you asked subtly, please check and let me know if it´s all okay. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #73 Withdrawn We love the clean, single line silhouette of the shell and do not want to add too much weight at the top. I am going to add a photo of a shell that I like the umbo on. We just need to create a little more pronounced bump at the top with a very slight curve to the left. 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #105 Withdrawn Thank you for the edit. I like the clean line look better. Can we just adjust the top of the shell to have a more pronounced bump in the front. It should be subtle 7 months ago jjbq commented on #73 Withdrawn Hello Matthew, My pleasure to work on this awesome brand. I´m happy you guys like it. I´ve studied the "Umbo" part of the shell so you can considerate as well. Please check and let me know if it´s all good. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #73 Withdrawn We are really loving these and definitely our solid front runner. We love the color variations that you made with the blue and black backgrounds too. On critique on the shell that would really make it pop is at the top, there is a little pronounced but subtle piece called the umbo that I would love to see incorporated into this design. 7 months ago jjbq commented on #67 Withdrawn Got it dear Matthew. And that´s fine, I love it to be honest. Great addition to my logo. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #67 Withdrawn Sorry, I was not clear. This part is correct but where “estd 2024” was, put “Vashon Island” with the island logo in the middle of the words 7 months ago jjbq commented on #66 Withdrawn No problem dear Matthew. It´s done, let me know if it´s all okay. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #66 Withdrawn Sorry, replace the “estd 2024” 7 months ago jjbq commented on #66 Withdrawn Hello Matthew, I appreciate your updates. Can you just please let me know what do you mean "to replace the eats" I didn´t undertstood, I´m sorry for that cause I´m a non english speaker, probably its something easy, and I will work on it. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #66 Withdrawn Loving this direction! Can you replace the eats… with Vashon Island. Same location, everything else looks really good 7 months ago jjbq commented on #56 Withdrawn Hello again Matthew, Yes off course you can. Please check and let me know if it´s all okay. Anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #56 Withdrawn Looking good! Can we see this without the MA at the top. Also a same version with the oyster meat in the shell, please 7 months ago jjbq commented on #53 Withdrawn Hello again Matthew, Yes sure I can please check revision and let me know if it´s all good. In case you need anything more feel comfortable to ask. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #53 Withdrawn Better. Can we bump the ‘Maury Auster “ up just enough to squeeze the map just below in the gap bereeen is and “shellfish”, please 7 months ago jjbq commented on #42 Withdrawn Hello dear Matthew, I appreciate your quick updates. Yes sure I can please check my last revision and let me know if it´s all okay. If you need anything else just let me know. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #42 Withdrawn This feels close. Can you flip the oyster so that ‘Shellfish” is on the bottom and the island graphic and est. is on the top, please 7 months ago jjbq commented on #16 Withdrawn Hello Lewis, Hope you´re having a great day. Thank you for your great feedback. Submitted a few variations for your appreciation, please check and let me know what do you think. If you need changes feel free to ask please. Your feedback is always welcome. Thank you. Kindly Regards, João 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #16 Withdrawn Thank you so much for your submission! 7 months ago lmatthewlewis commented on #16 Withdrawn We like how you have incorporated Vashon Island, the oyster outline. The shape of the oyster is a little off though, and doesn't quite scream that it is an oyster yet - would love to see some variation on that. We added some illustrated oysters that we liked for reference. 7 months ago
