This is a very simple yet professional speech bubble concept.

#4: Good start! I like the blue color, and the call-out box effect is creative. What I would like to see is a tightening together of the three elements. As it is, the letterform, the "Matt Gambino," and the "Speaking & Training" all appear (to a point) as if they were designed independently of one another. Maybe it's just getting late for me (morning person!). Also, my eye keeps focusing on the ampersand for some reason.

Matt - I completely agree with your assessment. It was somewhat disjointed. I think it is better here. The wordmark fits much better with the icon.

I appreciate the helpful feedback.

#17: Paul, thanks again. It struck me after spending some time away from this logo... I wonder if there might be room to strengthen the "matt gambino" text. What I like about #7 (and some of the other high-rankers) is the choice of type for my name. So perhaps not the exact type per se, but something that lives up to the strength of the "g" letterform? Hope I'm not being overly prescriptive.

Thanks again for the work!

Matt-

That totally makes sense. This thing is always a process, and I have a good chance of nailing what you need with good communication. It is much appreciated. I will be out of the studio for a few hours but will rework the text when I get back.

Thanks again,
Paul

This lower case "g" forms a person "speaking" | #111

Matt - I will be out of the studio for the rest of the contest time. (returning this evening Eastern time) Only the top ranked designer can make changes during the judging mode. Should you need changes at that time, I will gladly do it. By rule you can just rotate the #1 design to allow the designers to make changes. I always suggest focusing on the icon first. Get a unique one that represents you and only you. Second focus on the text. This can always be changed later, as most designers have unlimited font collections.

Thanks you for your excellent feedback and a professionally run contest.
