What We Do
We manufacture red wine aeration devices. They are manufactured from synthetic cork and they are installed in the bottle during the bottling process. Aerating red wine instantly removes the tannins and allows the wine to warm up and open up its aromas allowing for a better glass of wine quicker.

Miscellaneous
Color Preferences
Color selection is wide open. Should be easily identifiable when converted to black and white.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo is for a product that acts like a filter which red wine passes through when being poured straight from the bottle. The cork shaped gadget aerates the wine, delivering oxygen to the point where the wine exits the bottle, thus dramatically improving the taste of the wine.
The story behind the naming of the product is attached.
A logo that explains the physics of the aeration process would be cool. Something related to pouring, bubbles, breathing, flow and similar connotations. This is so that you would get and idea of what the product does from seeing the logo.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

#1 - like how you used the circular shape, and still included the bubbles and the "swish".
#3 - Again, like the use of the circular shape with the engravings. Also really like that you've included the ring, as if it was a planet. Would like to see this logo with softer edges around the edges of the etchings. Might make it look less industrial.
#4 - Like how the logo explains whats happening but not sure it would transfer well onto black and white.

Thank you for all of the entries so far. We love some of the entries we received. We are also uploading the full story behind the name for your entertainment purposes.

We would like you get a bit more creative. We are wide open to entries which include martians, aliens, space ships, bubbles, George Orwell, planets, Andy Warhol and anywhere in between.

#8 - Font is very cool.
#12 - Really like this entry. Deformed lettering is cool. We could see that becoming a very recognizable symbol.
#13 and #14 - Great color selection! Right now we're undecided as to which one's better. We like the way your thinking. :)

The competition is warming up and we are really having fun now! We really like the latest entries! Thanks a million to everyone who has entered so far.

#16 - Looks great! Stands out a mile. Mars being the Red Planet and all that. Great idea!
#15 - We like how you used the straight lines, as can be seen in the sketches of the product. Would like to use of bubbles in there if you could fit them in. Or maybe include something related to a flowing motion...??

Thanks again guys! We've decided that we would like to emphasize the word "aerator" as opposed to the word "mars".

#18 - This is great! Really gets our message across!
#39 - Would there be a way to make the planet look like its in a wine glass? Perhaps with a ring around it to make it look like you are looking down into your glass and see the planet mars? This might help get the idea across that the logo relates to a wine product.
#37 - Great simple design! Would it be possible to surround it with a ring, again to make it look like you are looking down into a wine glass?
