Hi Sue ~ I do, very much! I think you might be onto something here. Thanks for tweaking the business/superhero woman. Can you even put an Apple symbol on the laptop? I'm wondering if we should make that silver to look as true to a MacBook Pro as possible. What do you think about making the cape the hot pink or the color of the pink the flower? (Thanks for working that in, btw. What do you think about it? Should I try to make it work or just dump it? Did you get a chance to look at my website, blog or twitter account?)
I'm still figuring out how the company fits in with my new "persona" as "strategy girl". Would welcome any thoughts you have.
I like #6 and #8. I lean to #6 because it has more personality (I love the font)... let me run it by some people to make sure they don't think it's too feminine or too casual since I will be working with men and want to be taken seriously.
I love that the girl's in boots, btw. Hot!! Could you darken her hair and maybe give her a few subtle highlights along with a little confident/sassy smile/smirk? We'll see where it goes!

Hi Sue ~ me again. Once we get the illustration of the superhero "perfect", would you mind trying the logo with and without the flower and/or the tagline. I'd just like to see how that impacts the overall look & feel. I'd also like to see the tagline worked out a couple different ways. Hi Sue ~ I really love what you've done with the illustration of Strategy Girl (entry #9). She's really grown on me! What do you think about leaving her neckline flesh toned...? Too much cleavage? If not, let's give it a try. I'm wondering if you'd also try tweaking her right leg. I know it's supposed to look like she's running forward toward us, which is cool, it just looks like her legs are a bit short/stubby and like her ankle is rolling over her foot, like she could trip.
I've been showing this around and so far the feedback is amazing... let's keep going with her! Thanks!! I'm also liking the way you put it together in entry #11. I really like #13 too! Could I see that concept without the black background?

Hi Sue ~ love, love, love #24! Can you make her hair darker brown and less burgundy/red? Caramel higlights are cool too, if you feel inspired. =) I like this one cuz she looks beautiful, sassy and powerful! I also like it because it's up close. I think I can use the character both up close and in a full silhouette. I think I like it up close, as you've done in #24, for the logo. I also like keeping the tagline in the logo, afterall, cuz it helps people understand who I am and what I'm up to.
In logo #25, where she's standing, I love the legs ~ hot!! I wish mine looked like that. =) Anyway, I think her shoulder posture needs to be more upright to match the stance of the legs. Thoughts? Is it going to be OK to get a couple images from you if I choose this concept? For example, right now, I'd want to get #24 and #25.

Thanks so much! We are so close! Yes, I'd say let's darken her hair to dark brown, not black but much darker brown with rich caramel highlights. I think this light brown color loses some of the drama that she has with the burgundy. In fact, the burgundy is growing on me... I do love the high contrast so I may end up going back to that in the end, but let's look at the dark brown and see how it works.
I love both postures. You nailed them. The lean in with the cape (#24) is awesome and I think my favorite. I also love the upright posture (with or without the cape) in #29. And I love, love, love the whole look in #30. I think with the updated hair color, she's perfect. =) What do you think about cape vs no cape on that upright posture. I know my coach/mentor would like to see the superhero thing play out with the cape but if you think it's corny in that position, I'd love to know your thoughts. I think she looks very powerful the way she is.
Thanks for offering to give me different versions of her... I think depending on the application, it would be nice to have her in different poses. I'm looking forward to seeing the new one you're working on. =)

About the brown hair, it will be very helpfull if you choose a specific brown like you give us the combination of the other colors, i just cant find the right brown!
I want you to have a serious version of the super hero concept, something you can use with your most serious clients, i know i can find the way, maybe with just a silhouette.

Hi Sue ~ I looked at my pantone book and wanted to give you a couple ideas for her brown hair. These are just suggestions... I'm sure the exact hue will need to be adjusted to look fabulous with the rest of the color palette.

Hi Laura :) I had to reenter all the options because we cant use the apple logo in the laptop, the new entries doesnt have the apple logo, is another fruit (simulating of course that is a laptop)
Ahhhhh... I wondered where all the options went to! I was freakin' out! I think we've nailed the character. I've been showing her around town and I'm getting mixed reviews on how sexy vs. professional she should be. I'm going to extend the contest to give me some more time to nail it down. I think I'm gonna want her in multiple poses and outfits, depending on where I use her. Hope that's OK. Dear Laura, people here in LogoTournament are telling me that i have to remove completly the sign of the laptop (because It's implied that the girl is holding a Mac), and is a copyright violation (when the contest is over we can talk about this, please dont worry ;)
For now i have to reenter again all the options. I made an icon with the SG, so, im going to use it in the center of the laptop.

Can you please add the tagline to #61? The feedback from the boys is they like #59 (with the whole sexy, fantasy, cape thing) and the feedback I'm getting from women is that I should keep her more serious, professional and no non-sense like #61 and #63.
How do you think #61 would look if we used her whole look in #63? I really love the whole pencil skirt, knee boot, stiletto heel thing. =) But not sure how it works next to the words "Strategy Girl".

I've extended the contest for a week to give me a chance to keep getting feedback and figure out the best way to go with her.
I have a client that would like to see me keep working with full silhouette "Strategy Girl" in #63. He really thinks the high-heeled boots add the X-factor to her look/feel/power. I'm wondering if you'd play around with that idea... merging #63 with #60... maybe even add legs/boots to #70 and #71.
Well yeah, having the face along is easy to do, but i feel is weird that the head is standing in the air with no body, probably i will find a solution for showing the head along. Im still working on the legs/boots for #70 and #71, i will finish in a couple of hours.
LOL ~ yes, me too. I don't think it works in the logo, but I can definitely use it in my social media profiles when they ask for a headshot. =)
I love #74 and #72. What do you think? I know it's a different orientation for the logo overall, but I think I like having the whole legs/boots things included in her look. Do you have an opinion? I'll most likely select one of these 2 as my final logo.
I showed the concepts to another client today and they asked about trying a couple of these ideas. At this point, it's all gravy to me, but worth the effort, I think:
- They're wondering what it would look like if the hair and the cape were blowing away from the words instead of toward them. They're thinking it should look like the breeze is coming from the words "strategy girl"
- They're wondering what it would look like to put an SG on her chest.
- They're wondering what it would look like to have a Clark Kent / Superman approach to Strategy Girl. One very conservative professional, and one dynamic superhero. I think we're really close to having that. Clark Kent is like #63 (conservative dress, no cape, etc.) and Superman is #74 (sexy outfit, cape, etc.). But maybe you'll think we can create more of an extreme. Up to you.
- They're wondering what it would look like if the logo looked like it was coming AT you... I guess the Superman logo has an effect like that. May make it look too busy, but would love your thoughts.

Working on it. It will take me some time to put it all together, i think tomorrow will be done. I think all the options will work great as diferent apps of the logo/image, and well, the clark kent/superman is exactly what i had in mind since the begining :)
This is a very complete logo: you can use it as a wordmark, with the avatar/caracter, and with the SG along (wich right now is in the laptop). Im very proud of this, think so far is the best logo of my portfolio :) Thank you for your guide and support.
