April 24th, 2010, 7:55pm #15 has a nice look to it. Again, not crazy about the font for my name - too art deco I need something more classic. Can I see the symbol in color? Possible color schemes would be: 1. Navy blue, lavender, silver, white 2. primary colors - blue, yellow, red, white 3. a spectrum ( rainbow )
#5 is interesting - can I see Navy blue , silver and lavender as the colors of the blocks making up the abstact aperture symbol? Or perhaps the primaries - blue, red , yellow. or maybe a spectrum effect somehow? Also the font feels art deco and I need something more classic
#111 font for my name is too difficult to read. Would prefer solid blocks of color for the aperture icon.
#109 let's eliminate the box around the aperture icon. And would it be possible to try a different style of "m" for the individual elements that make up the icon?
#129 #130 #133 - aperture icon has become a bit too abstract.
#132 - Very nice. Clean. simple. Would like to see the following three colors in the aperture icon: navy blue, lavender, white. Remove spectrum from name and instead probably pure white will do. Finally, is there a way to integrate the icon more with the name it seems a bit lonely and disassociated sitting on top.
#131 - I think perhaps this icon is simply too busy. Simplify?
#168 - very cool. very clean. I have told a number of other designers to steer clear of the heart theme but I have to admit this one works. Not quite sure about the flare spot or the texture of the heart itself but the overall design is very impressive. And the font for my name is perfect. Can I see some similar takes with a slightly different feel to the heart?
Also still interested in non-heart themed logos since all the other designers seem to have gone to this now...
#184 #185 - I think I prefer the silver and gold color scheme of #168 - the heart is better differentiated from the rest of the lettering.
#183 #183 - Although I am definitely a fan of the spectrum these feel less distinctive and classic than #168. Perhaps a more clean, classic, elegant line to the heart would improve #168 further?
#191 - aperture placement distracts from overall design.
#190 - very, very nice! Thank you for including the color scheme I requested! Can the colors on the aperture be brightened up? Also the bottom section can be white as opposed to silver. Lastly the shape of the individual elements draws the eye to a somewhat unbalanced negative space in the center. Can the shape of the elements be smoothed out perhaps?
#196 - is now in contention for the win. No further refinement is needed although you may of course continue the process if you have new ideas. The current #1 will retain that position because it was the first design to meet my standard as a potential winner - #196 is now the second to meet that standard.
Thank you! Again, it has been a pleasure to work with you. It makes such a difference when the client gives direction and feedback. I can design what I like all day long, but may be completely different than what the client is looking for :)
