What We Do
Mare Nostrum translates to "Our Sea", which was a common Roman name for the Mediterranean Sea for many years. Our plan is to open a restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine influenced by the countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea.
Greek, Italian, French, Baltic Influences specifically. Seafood will be a cornerstone of entree options.
Open to black/white and also to color at this point.
Perhaps using a mediterranean blue as a starting point for color. Less is more.
We will examine the use of color as the project moves forward, but for now we are open.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
We've looked at a variety of high-end restaurants to use as a reference. What we see is a lot of modern designs, which we are not necessarily opposed to.
However, our restaurant sounds foreign to Americans. It's not a phrase many are familiar with. But the name "Mare Nostrum" sounds exotic and pleasing. Our future customers will know that they are about to have a meal of exquisite taste, smell, and dining experience.
