Manson Apple BlossomLogo Design Contest

We need a logo for our 2k/5k race t-shirt for the Manson Apple Blossom event. The theme for Apple Blossom this year is “Luau on the Lake,” but the theme does not need to be used in the shirt logo. Manson Apple Blossom is a community event that has been going on for over 100 years. It is the largest community event of the year and draws thousands of people who come for the large parade, and many participate in the race prior to the parade. The logo will go on the t-shirts all of the runners get. The runners will range for 3-80 years old.

Vintage colors

We would like it to have some objects or scenery in the design (not just the words designed). Ideas would include an apple blossom, luau themes, lake/mountains, runners/race themes, apples, apple trees, etc.
We are drawn to vintage styles … old gas station logos, VW vans, old signs, old burger drive-thru signs, etc. But we are definitely not stuck on this and happy to consider other ideas!

I would still love to see more a vintage style (almost aged/worn) and something resembling the old Las Vegas sign! (Photo attached)


Would anyone be willing to take a stab at the design style of the blue shirt with the white flowers? I’m thinking 80’s Hawaiian shirt with the flowers in the stripe across the chest and then “Manson Apple Blossom 2k/5k” in smaller simple font on the top right of the flower stripe and “Luau at the Lake” on the left below the flower stripe (if wearing the shirt) in the same font. Let me know if you have questions! (Different color palette than the one in the picture I referred to please!) Thank you!
