Welcome aboard! And thank you for making the time to join our contest!
(#410) You certainly can try and use a lighthouse (guidance theme), but they are so overused in our business that you will have to do something EXTRAORDINARY to pull it off. [smile]
(
#405) I like the impact of this word stack ... and the wave is a nice touch. The W is a bit hard to read but you can fix that I'm sure. And the lighthouse from #410 is a build on that block.
Let's try and tie-in some other intuitive, relevant graphics with your fine typeography. Otherwise (and unfortunately we're seeing this in many of the contest entries) you only get logos that are "decorative" versus "informative."
Your work for Hospital Gift Shop did a wonderful job of telling their "story."
Our story also needs to be reflected in our logo:
- small, upcoming self-publisher in the boating industry
- provides cruising guides (books that tell you how and where to go in your boat)
- new player (younger, exciting, current information, uses high-tech and innovative methods for data gathering and presentation)
Let's have fun and try some new ideas altogether!
Thanks, Mark
p.s. A lot of people asked that I don't bin things in the "not interested" column unless they are "horrible. Not a problem, I'll start ranking again ... with low rankings meaning what they mean and our dialog mainly taking place by post. Recognize that I do have a problem in that LT does not tell me when you have posted to this page. I only get notification with a "private message."
