Welcome aboard!

I know you're just doing some stretching exercises here. [smile]

Some specifics:

I like the wave running through Waterway in #411. You've done something that is tough. We're seeing a lot of waves (as well as compasses, boats, skipper hats, boats, and steering wheels) in this tournament. Don't get me wrong, waves are good! But they are so common in the business that you'll need to do something uncommon in their use, if you know what I mean. This is a nice integration. A bit difficult to read but I know you can improve that.

I think the graphic is too nebulous for our audience in #412. Less abstract would be better.

Both designs would need MORE impact: Think standing out on signage at a trade show booth; readable (or at least intriguing) at ten feet, embroidered on a polo shirt; or instantly eye-catching and recognizable on a magnetic vehicle door sign or vinyl lettering on our boat ...

NICE start! You can do it!

Similar comments as above.

BOLDER and more striking. Needs visual impact either small (in book) or large (from a distance).

Not as delicate or feminine. This strikes me as a nice logo for a spa or luxury waterway condominiums but not a book publishing business for transiting boaters.

We're also looking for a married graphic that we can pull out as a publisher's mark.

I made some comments last night and this morning on the contest's main page that I think are helping some folks. You might find them helpful also.

Please don't give up on us yet. We're not even close to picking a winner yet ... so keep those brain cells churning and those great design concepts coming!
