Hi aceone,
just wondering what the meaning (if any) behind the name is?

according the wikipedia: "Mai, a Vietnamese given and last name meaning "golden flower"
or is it a play on the word "My"?

Also in my dialect, "Mai" means "NO"

in bulgarian Mai also is the name of the month 'May' :)

Thank you all for your submissions... we are going over all of the great work... If we have put you in the un-interested category its because it doesn't fit our look or we just don't like the 3d shadowing because it will be tough to use for flyer and print design... we may extend the contest if the other partners need more time... thanks again for alll your work !

When I say not interested in the 3d I mean the bottom layer shadowing like its on the water... tha doesn't really work for what we will need to use the logo for which will be on a lot of print materials such as flyers and magazine work...

Dear ace6one7, if you don't like the 3d effect, but still like the concept of the design...you can contact that designer privately and ask them to do any revisions you need (deleting the 3d effect is very simple) We are more than willing to accommodate any edits...to make the design fit your needs...at least i can speak for myself if other designers don't agree.
