Fantastic. I love this. :)

Magelight has an "a", not an "e".

#5: Awesome, thanks for fixing that.

I really like this logo, it's beautiful. If I had one nit, I think it feels a little bit too tall. I don't know if that could be changed without losing the effect of the film strip or not. It's not a strong objection though, I really like this.

Thanks!

#12 and #13: I think the little sparkles are too much. They add magic, but they break up the elegant symmetry. Thanks for the thought though. :)

#17 That is positively epic. :)

Perhaps it feels a bit more evil than I would like to portray though.

Also, the shape that he is conjuring is a little unclear. If you want to iterate on the hand for a time or two before we worry about this though, that's okay.

Hmm, I actually did a photoshoot once of hands conjuring something. Let me find those for you...

I've been thinking on this overnight. Let's also drop the filmstrip element. The addition of the hand is epic, but it's lead to just too many overlapping parts of the logo.

So, my specific requests would be:
1) Hand position that feels more evocative than controlling.
2) Some shape in his hand that isn't a rock. I like rocks, but it's not really clear why a magician would be holding one in his hand.
3) Let's remove the filmstrip to simplify the design.

Thanks! :)

#27: Kinda cool, but I think it looks too much like a photograph, less like a logo. Also, using a hand that comes in from the side I think upsets the visual balance of the logo.

I guess in short, thanks very much for this design, but I'm afraid it's not working for me. I'm sorry.

#28, I like this variant more, I think entirely based on visual balance.
