You mentioned the current theme, and your desire for us to not use it. Is there a link to find it?

Our current theme is red and black which you can see on our website (http://www.machinetools.com). We're in the process of a major site redesign and might be switching the color scheme. We're going for "change" with this next version of the site. That said, we want to see the designers working with other colors (not just black and red).

There seems to be a pattern of using a gear in the logo. We don't dislike this, but we want to see designers come up with other kinds of options. It would be good to see more Web 2.0 looking logos that are simple but unique. Be creative and original.
