Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,

Could you try to propose different balances between the logo and the letters. Maybe versions with smaller logos and different color variations. This company will be in payment security so we are looking at something corporate and a little rigid too.

Of course would be my pleasure. However since the project is in Judging mode on the 1st place designer can make changes and upload new options. That said you can switch any designs around, thereby allowing that designer to make and upload changes. Once the design is in 1st I'll be able to make those changes for you :)
Would you like the wording in blue as well, or shall I show a few combinations i.e. blue, grey, black etc?

Just switched your position. It would nice if we could see a few combinations with wording and logo in different colors. But most importantly in brighter colors. Not too flashy if possible as we are going to be in a quite conservative sector.

Here are a number of colour combinations. Of course we can also mix and match, so if you like the colour from one element and one from another, we can combine then.
We are pretty much decided for entry #45 (black/red logo). Before we ask for final data we want to see this version without vivid red in the logo. If you can use Bordeaux red, reddish purple etc... We want to avoid red red. For the rest it is all good.
Can you deliver outlined illustrator data, so that we can change some slight nuances and layout once we are satisfied?
Not a problem at all, here are four versions, all on the bordeaux side of red; #125, #126, #127 and #128.
Yes, you will get an outlined Illustrator EPS file and 3 sized JPEGs for the final files. So you will be able to tweak the EPS file no problems at all.
