Thanks for reviewing. #461 references an Academy (roof) #463 highlights the 10 (whilst not disturbing 'readability' of the full word). #462 left field – demonstrating simplicity of use
A few more options. Trying to get that balance with the disruptive elements - eg. angled AND square centre of "o" in #490 or the tilted background tile in #489 #494
I didn't want to disrupt the "disruptive" element by adding the Streak element however I think the two can work together as in #608 . Or a slight colour change between the "lyk" and the "io" as shown in #610 – with the Streak overlaid so the inside of the "o" is (in the same position as) the end of the Streak.
I think the Streak could be made up of bold, flat geometric shapes, the arrow reflecting the 'disruptor' arrow. Bold, yet stylish geometric shapes could make up the user interface.
In #607 the "io" is highlighted in colour to represent a "10"
The stakeholders are reviewing and will very soon determine the top-5 designers for phase 2. As far as I'm concerned, you should be amongst them. But please remember that I'm not the sole decision maker.
As you may have seen, you're in one of the five designers we've chosen to go on working with on this logo. I'm very glad about this, as I was very impressed with the simplicity and directness of #497. Also, the way the red triangle makes the "IO" rise up spoke to me!
May I now ask for some iterations of this logo? Please feel free to play with colours (darker blues, light greens, magentas), fonts, and perhaps even the "I" which could be made to look like a "1".
Thanks very much for the information and update ideas. I will need a bit of time to see how that might work (the .io / .10) but I assure you I'll upload some new designs.
I see it as a balance between incorporating the disruptive, Streak or URL elements whilst keeping the word lykio readable. A bit like a good recipe... a good balance is key. Will be interesting!
Thanks for the thought-starters - colours, fonts.... I'll get busy! Michael
I am focusing on variations of the 'ideas', rather than uploading variations on font for each and every one of these I would rather wait and if one of these ideas hits the button, I'd be only too happy to fine tune font styling. That said, the font (and customisation thereof) I've used I'm quite happy with the tone of. Looking forward to any feedback. Thanks in advance.
