Discussion

The logo is for "Bare Bones" not for Lunati. Sorry for the confusion. #6 by tsquare is headed in the right direction artistically.

Thanks for the new submissions. I would suggest also considering a skeleton or bones, instead of just the skull. #12 by Sevi - Sevi please remember this will need to transcend different medias, so while this logo is really nice and has a great web 2.0 feel it might not work for print.

Still would like to see some options with a skeleton. It could just be the upper torso. The reason is because the skull and crossbones treatment is so over used it doesn't establish originality.

Marketing Chaos is extending the contest for another week. Although there has been some recent entries headed in the right direction, there still isn't any that are really close to what we are looking for. I encourage everyone to think outside the box, because the skull and crossbones is overused. Would like to see an upper torso of a skeleton working with the typography. Most of the entries have the skull and crossbones and then the type somewhat disconnected as two separate elements.

#53 by T-square. Although not a winner this is the closet thing to what we are looking for. Good job. There is no overplayed skull and crossbones and the skeleton and type are working as a single element instead of two separate. Would like to see the weight of the type and skeleton distributed a little more evenly.

#54 by diabolic 208. This is my favorite as far as the look and the feel of the skull. We don't want any parts in the illustration though, sorry. I would encourage you to use this illustration style with reference to some of the other comments. Ex. the skeleton and type being equal in weight and working as one instead of 2 separate elements.

2 days left and still not seeing anything that really captures what we are looking for. There are elements from different entries that are positive. #58 is my favorite as far as the illustration style of the skull. #11 is my favorite as far as typography. #64 & #53 are closer to what I'm looking for as far as the skeleton and type working as 1 uniform element. Again major points: Logo and type should be coherent not 2 separate elements. Skeleton and type must be equally weighted. Type must be legible. Prefer to not have the typical skull and crossbones, but if done tastefully not opposed to it either. Thanks everyone for the hard work and hopefully we can find a winner soon.

Last hour, please submit your final entries. There is not a clear cut winner and nice elements in several of the top rated designs. So any submission could still be the one to take the cake. #87 would like the type to be slightly larger and maybe lose the lightning bolts and the gradient shading. #84 try the same concept with different arrangements, maybe the skeleton behind the type sorta holding the name. #82 One of my favorites, could maybe try some alternate arrangements.

just fyi, the first place design is the only one that can upload revisions, if you would like to see others make revisions, you can reorder for that purpose
