Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - lucey is a weak (ish) name - i want to to look stronger
#2 - modern and trustworthy
#3 - simple
Our Target Audience:
accountants, solicitors, professionals in general. we are trying to sell them online software plus a range of services including offshoring, hosted it infrastructure, marketing consulting.
in short what we will offer will vary greatly across different services. what i would like is to build a brand around lucey. i.e Lucey Technology, Lucey Consulting, Lucey Marketing, Lucey Offshoring. I want lucey as the brand but with an additional word i can add in. i.e. Lucey Technology as the logo but I can change it later to Lucey Marketing. Lucey must also be able to work on its own
we are a young professional company selling products on line. the brand must be clean and simple
Color Preferences
orange on black or a wine-ish red on white would be 2 preferences. However we are open to other colour schemes.
a few local suppliers of companies that supply accounting software are green so i want to avoid that.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
i really like the ncaa american college basketball logos, even the ncaa logo itself. not so much the clunky font but use of capitals and shading. I know i am in a b2b market but their images encourage loyalty. much of what i will do will revolve around encouraging people to refer or promote my business so i want them to feel a part of something.
imagine facebook but for business.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#3 i thought this was a good design but the y goes missing on it.
also it seems to not use a lot of the top of the circle so the name gets a little lost. the same is true of #5./ i think a slightly different shape that a circle might work
#7 this is a crazy design - a bit out of left field. i would not run with this one as the lucey is not understandable but it is something that could be played with. good effort.
at the moment i think that the colouring on #30 or #31 is the brightest and most favourable. the ones such as #31 and #38 that are darker underneath are good but i think prefer brightness all round as it gives a more positive spin.
the lettering is something can i still dont think is spot on. i like it in the middle of the ball rather than down low but i would like to see more options here.
also it might be interesting to have the L and Y touch the top and bottom of the cirle like in the hp logo.
#146 and #147 are excellent and i like the mirroring instead of the shadow. is it possible to move the bright spot on #146 to the top of the ball to see what that looks like
