Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits ChallengeLogo Design Contest

This is for a new Wine & Spirits Competition. Promotions of winners will be focused on LA and Southern CA in general. I would like a font style similar, but not exactly, to the LA Times. They are our media partner we are working with to promote winners. Ideally, the logo captures components that are reminiscent of Los Angeles, but not a must have.

This is from another wine comp I own. I like it has an element of wine AND spirits. There is another logo for another LA Wine Comp. I no NOT want something that looks like this.
