Hi Daniel, Thanks for your submissions! I think I prefer the logos with emblems that are NOT tilted for a 3d effect. Could I please see entry #2 with the wordmark to the right of the symbol, instead of underneath? Also, I would be interested to see the wordmark in all blue.
Thanks and I will be continuously providing feedback throughout the week. Good luck!
Thanks for the updates. Just a quick fix (for entry #23): it would be great if we could close the gap between "Long" and "Effect", so that it appears to be one word. At the same time we would probably need to increase the size of the "L" and the "E" so that they stand out from the rest of the letters.
Also, I would love to see a cursive "L" in that letterform. I know it might alter the concept quite a bit, but I think it would be a nice cross between elegance and fastness. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like me to clarify.
#34 is very appealing! By far my favorite as of yet. Some additional possibilities:
- a dark blue rectangular line around the entire logo (letterform + wordmark), with angles and rounded corners which match that of the letterform's rectangle. I'm not sure if this would be a thick or a thin line (maybe use your judgement or show us both).
and / or
- one blue line extending from the letterform rectangle which underlines the Wordmark, and perhaps the slogan below that line.
Finally, we'd like to see the "E" slightly less bold.
Could we please see: 1. Entry #36 exactly as it is, only with the same "E" from entry #34 2. Slightly different approach: the Letterform as the centerpiece of the logo, with "LongEffect" in smaller text, centered below the letterform. (no slogan necessary). Please show this with and without a blue line border.
Also, please feel free to get creative if you have any other concepts in mind. I like your approach!
Good stuff! Can we please see #56 without any blue border? Also, please: - increase the size of the letterform slightly. - show with and without italicized text and letterform (similar to entry #34) - show with and without one line extending from the middle of the letterform and underlining "LongEffect" and perhaps the slogan underneath - Adjust the yellow/gold to more of a rich bronze/gold.
Thank you, Daniel. I apologize for all of the minor adjustments, but your hard work is much appreciated!!
Hi Daniel, I would like to see FOUR new variations for #62 and #65 EACH please (8 new designs total): - with a small bronze diamond placed between Long and Effect. Italisized and not italisized - all letters spaced out more than they currently are (sample: L o n g E f f e c t ). No diamond in the middle is necessary. Italisized and not italisized.
I hope this clearly states what I'm looking for. Please do not hesitate to ask questions if it is unclear.
To summarize previous post. Here are the 8 new designs I am looking for:
1. #65 with small bronze diamond between Long and Effect, italisized 2. #65 with small bronze diamond between Long and Effect, Not italisized 3. #65 with lettering spaced out (sample: L o n g E f f e c t ), no diamond, italisized 4. #65 with lettering spaced out (sample: L o n g E f f e c t ), no diamond, not italisized 5. #62 with small bronze diamond between Long and Effect, italisized 6. #62 with small bronze diamond between Long and Effect, not italisized 7. #62 with lettering spaced out (sample: L o n g E f f e c t ), no diamond, italisized 8. #62 with lettering spaced out (sample: L o n g E f f e c t ), no diamond, not italisized
#76 - as is, with only 1 shade of gold under "E" in letterform #76 - More space between letterform and wordmark #76 - More space between letterform and wordmark, and also seperate Long Effect into 2 words #76 - Decrease size of letterform by about 25% - 30%, More space between letterform and wordmark, thin vertical line separating letterform and wordmark #76 - Same as above (with smaller letterform, separating line, etc.), all 1 color (dark blue) and no accents
We like how #76 is clean, simple, elegant, yet modern. We would love to see any other way you can think of to enhance these qualities.
Each of the descriptions above after "#76" represents a new design we would like to see.... 5 new new designs in total, plus any additional variations you can think of.
Quick question: What is the difference between #76 and #82? It might just be difficult to view on the thumbnail version on this website.
Also, please show:
#83 - "LE" symbol with solid colors - dark blue / gold (no accents). Also, upper left/bottom right corners without rounded corners. #83 - "LE" symbol made 50% smaller than it is now #83 - "LE" symbol made 50% smaller than it is now, entire logo including symbol same color (dark blue, NO gold) -------------------- #85 - "LongEffect" text much larger as it is now (almost as tall as "LE" symbol), vertical line twice as long as it is now #85 - same as described above, entire logo same color (dark blue, NO gold)
As you might expect, I would like to move forward with your design - currently #93 which is ranked 1st. I do understand that the first ranked designer is able to make changes to the design while we are still in the judging stage. If this is true, please make the following adjustments to design #93, and then I think we can bring the contest to an end!
The final design should be #93 with the following adjustments:
1. square the bottom right hand corner of the "LE" logo
2. use a BRIGHT gold instead of a darker gold for the bottom part of the "LE" logo (such as the light accented gold used in entry #85 ranked 8th)
3. "LongEffect" should be solid dark blue with no accent streak through the center
Also, if we have Adobe CS5, would we be able to further alter the colors and other elements of the design .eps file once we obtain it?
Hi Chris, thanks for your comments. In the case of winning, you get the design in eps, or if desired after the tournament ends, you can receive the design in different formats: PSD, AI, JPG, PNG, etc via email.
I hope you are all good, I will make the necessary changes to its design.
