Hi The Day,

Thanks for sending your ideas.

We would like the car to be less of a literal image and more of a stylised one, more like a drawing. The car needs to be a mini cooper or a black cab, because these are iconic and associated with Great Britain.

We would like the whole of the car to be painted in the Union Jack pattern, but not the traditional colours. We like these colour combinations:

http://bit.ly/OoalAP

We'd like one big box sitting on top of the car, tied with a packthread, the box needs to be quite large, and the car fairly small.

We would like a different font, something classy, yet not feminine. Please change the colour of the slogan for it to be more visible.

We look forward to more suggestions from you. Thank you for your effort!

Hey The Day,

#24 looks more like it! We have looked at more ideas for the pictorial mark. We have decided to replace the MINI Cooper (as cool as it looks) with the black cab, because of possible copyright complications. Please see this sketch for inspiration (we like the style and the brush stroke):
http://bit.ly/Qy0afX

Please see this picture:
http://bit.ly/RdI4io

We like the outline of the bus: simple lines with the background inside and outside the bus of the same colour. Please try with this with the pictorial mark: the simplified outline of the car and the box in one colour and the same background outside and inside the pictorial mark. Please keep the Union Jack pattern just the way you did on #24. We like the blue/green colours you did it in. Could you please try the orange/blue colour combination like here, so we could see how it looks:
bit.ly/Ooa9BB

Colours: We can try to keep it simple, but bold by using
- One colour for the background
- 2nd colour for the outlines of the car and the box
- Orange/ blue Union Jack
- Union Jack colours (orange/blue) for the company name and the slogan. Please insert 'N' to read LONDINI CLUB.

Many thanks!

Hi Jefry,

Thanks for the new entries! We like the retro black cab! Could you please position it, like the car on #24, as if rearing to go, only the front pointed to the right. Our idea is that we deliver quality items from the UK, so the car symbolises the origin of our service, but the emphasis is still on the box, and not the car. That's why we need it to be disproportionately big in relation to the car, like a caricature. Comments on the elements of the logo:

The car: less detail, fewer strokes, please make them light, and smaller in size. The packthread should not be tied to the car, as it conceals the flag. The strokes on the flag should be thick and bold (one colour with white shading, like on #24).
The box: very big, it should look like a parcel box, rather than a crate. The packthread should be tied across the box. Please see the schematic on the contest attachment images in the main brief.

Colour combinations: please see the 3 drawings in contest attachments. They are very primitive, but convey the 3 colour combinations we'd like to try, the look of the box, the colours of the outlines of the car, the flag, and the letters (the bottom line being the slogan). Please let us know what you think of these colours based on your professional experience.

Thanks a lot for all your work!

Hi Jefry,

Thank you for submitting new entries! We like the car pointed to the right! #39 is our first choice - those colours work really well together!

However, our idea is that the box should be disproportionately big in relation to the car, the emphasis is still on the box, and not the car. Ideally, we would like the car to be painted with several strokes just to outline the car, yet, the car should look more like a black cab. The whole pictorial mark should look more like a caricature (we think the car should be painted in less detail). The strokes on the flag should be thick and bold (one colour with white shading, like on #24), with a bit smudgy outline.

Thank you for all your work. We look forward to receiving your entries.

Kind regards,
Londini Club

Hi the Day,

We would like the pictorial mark to look as if drawn in chalk or painted with a paint brush with bold strokes.

We are getting there! Many thanks!

Hi Jefry,

#45 is the closest thing to what we are looking for. The overall image is spot on: the position of the car, the size of the box, and the colour combination.

Here's what we'd like to see you try: Please use bolder and thicker strokes for the pictorial mark: the car, the box, and the flag. Please see:
http://bit.ly/MVedL6
http://bit.ly/Mo02yk

A bit less detail on the car, just the prominent outline of a black cab, some more bold strokes for the box, and some lines to outline the Union Jack Flag. We'd like mark to look more primitive, and less literal. We think it will make our logo look more unique. Please try to make it look like quick sketch, quickly done by hand in chalk. Just a series of strokes rather than a detailed image. Many thanks for translating our ideas into images!

Hi Jefry,

Thanks for the updates and no worries:) The sketch version looks much better. We would like to go further in making the pictorial mark even more distinctive. We think this can be achieved by making the mark consist of fewer, but powerful and meaningful strokes. I know there's a risk of losing important detail, but we'd like to see you try.

For example, you took away the colouring from inside the wheels, and it looks much better.

The flag on the car shouldn't be drawn in straight lines, but sketched on.

Please try to make the pictorial mark in the same style as this image:
http://bit.ly/MVedL6

We like that you drew outside the lines. Please try more of that. We want it to look less neat and computer generated. If it looks more hand drawn and less perfect, it will convey individualism and human touch.

Thanks for your great work!

Thanks, Jefry!

We think the box is good just the way it is, and we like what you did with the flag.

Could you try to reduce the amount of detail on the car?

Please provide a few font suggestions, something more unique. We'd like to be able to choose the font that goes very well with the pictorial mark.

Hi Jefry,

Thanks for the font suggestions. We still prefer the original font. Please continue working with #55. The outline of the car: could you please colour in between the lines at the top of the car, the two lines that show the windshiled, and the bonnet? It will make it look like there are fewer thicker strokes. It should look like the outline of a black cab facing sideways. Thanks!

We wish we could talk to you or draw a sketch to show you, but it doesn't seem to be an option on this website:(

Hey Jefry,

Sorry, didn't mean to rush you. Yes, that's what we wanted to see: #61 and 62. Now we need to compare and choose, What is your opinion and what do you think in terms of the pictorial mark: the idea, the look, and the colours?

I did try to draw the mark with chalk and it took me ages and loads of attempts, so I can begin to imagine the work that goes in to it.

No problem, this is my job :). Logo with pictorial mark is better and unique. The idea car carrying a box is easy to digest. For the looks, I could give several alternative positions logo and company name. For the background color, with the logo fits perfectly with the dominance of yellow and blue accent.

Thanks

Hi Jefry,

Congratulations on winning the contest!

We are about to select a winning entry - logo #62. However, we would like to ask if we could also keep logo #69 (just the car on its own), #63 and #68 as black/white variant to be printed on our business cards, #66 and #67 as alternative variants of the logo.

Thank you very much for all your work!
