What We Do
Locust Grove is the home and surrounding property to adventurer, Revolutionary War figure and Louisville founder George Rogers Clark. The site currently serves as home for visitors interested in learning more about 1800s life, young couples getting married on the property, history buffs, war re-enactors and anyone with an appreciation for the rich heritage and/or beauty the site possesses.
Color Preferences
With it's association to the Revolutionary War, Locust Grove is a uniquely American place, so red, white and blue seem logical and emotionally authentic.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are not completely dissatisfied with the existing logo, but unanimously feel that it could be refreshed if not reconcepted entirely. (see attached jpg of current logo)
Also, take a minute to visit our website - locustgrove.org (gives you a sense of the slightly tired, dated look, tone and feel we currently utilize.)
See pics below for a sense of what goes on at Locust Grove, From war re-enactments, gardener's fairs, to slow-food expositions, Locust Grove is a gathering place for families, friends and enthusiasts from around the region.
We would like to see the house and grounds communicated in the logo (see current execution) but are very open to re-interpretation.
