Updated the house. Still working on fitting a "key" with intitials into the design. I have added a skelton key hole as a letterform in the "o" of Lock. Just an idea. Trying to keep the image clean without overdoing the elements to the point the the business name gets lost. I will work on the "sign" portion if you like the overall design of the logo. thanks and look forward to the feedback.

Same design as previous with a sign blank border. Still working on the key design.

This entry is showing a Black and White logo. A one color logo could be used on pens, notepads, blueprints, yellowpages, etc. for lower cost.

I agree with the simplicity. Is there anything else that I can do for you at this time? Thanks for the feedback.

Is this your favorite one? So far it is still my #1 choice but I am wondering if there are any tweaks you can do that will add value and keep the lofo clean and simple. I suggest trying a more readable type style for Carpentry, at a distance, it is a little hard read. This is going to be on truck magnets, made into wooden signs for the lawn, printed on business cards, embroidered on hats and shirts.
Hope this helps.

I will make a few revisions and submit. I understand your concern of the word "Carpentry". The logo, the way it stands now, will look wonderful on all of the media that you mentioned. I own a sign company and these issues are always a key part in how I design a logo. Also, rest assure that I have built my business on customer service. If the customer is not happy, I am not happy. Look for some revisons shortly. Thanks for the message.

Changed the font sytle of Carpentry. I like the boldness of the lettersytle and will work great for embroidery. This logo, as well as, the other logos I have presented will all work in one color, as well as, three colors if you choose to add the gold for the Key Hole. I feel as though these options will give you great diversity whether they are on the side of a truck or printed on business cards. The beauty of the design is it is flexible to use in multi or single color. Big or small. I look forward to hearing your feedback.

#59 We are going to need to add the phone number under the tag line so do you think that will still work with the lines? Maybe it needs softer lines or just one. I agree that Carpentry is more readable and bolder but I think it lost a little of it's elegance which I liked before. Do you think there is a middle ground between the two styles? It's almost perfect!

Not as bold, a bit more elegant. I have shown the logos with a phone number for representation. The main thing to consider at this point in the Logo. Once the contest is over, whom ever you choose, should be able to direct you in the proper layout of signs and truck lettering. A number of variables will dictate the placement and letter height of the secondary copy (Phone and even tagline).

Thank you for considering my logo designs. I just wanted to inform you that I will be away from my computer begining Thursday night until Saturday. I am having a little knee surgery Friday morning and will be taking at least a day off for recovery. If you need any further revisions prior to judging please let me know so I may accomodate your request. Otherwise, once in judging mode, only the #1 ranked designer may submit designs. You may switch your rankings to offer contestants the opportunity to update their entries during this process. Hope you are finding the "image" that your company desires. Good luck and look forward to heaing from you.

Kyle, this is still my favorite logo but I would like like to see the word Carpentry in a script that is more readable. I like the contrast between the script and Lockwood type verses #59 where they are too similar.
Thanks!

Replaced the script with another. Let me know your thoughts. thanks

I changed a few things with this design and used the same letters style as Lockwood for the other text. Just an idea.

#79 now my first choice but a little to much swirl with the "C" in carpentry, it's competing with the "c" in Lockwood. I think if you do this, you will have nailed it!!

So, if i understand you correctly, you want me to alter the swirl of the "C" so it does not curl back up under the upper part of the "C". Does that make any sense? I wish I could talk too you over the phone. lol

I will do the alteration as I mentioned, If this is not what you are thinking, just let me know. either way, I can make this work for you. I will try and get this done tonight. Look fo the the revisions. Thanks, you have been a pleasure to work with.

Hi Kyle,
Here are some other changes we would like to see before deciding the winner. There were elements we liked from other designers but still prefer your overall design.
1. /Users/susanzimmerman/Desktop/Picture 10.png Would like to use this semicircle window to replace the one you have. This says upscale house to us and adds a nice architectural detail
2. Change tag line to Home Renovation & Fine Carpentry

3. Remove key hole from "O" since the tag line has changed
All else remains the same
Thanks!

LIke #140, need the tag line dropped a little. Is this your favorite?
Also like #142, can you show me this in a nice blue instead of olive green?
Thanks!

Logo Designer
The blue is interesting. I think if it was the right color of blue (maybe williamsburg) it would look great. I need to look at my Pantone book @ my office too selct a proper shade. Green and black always look good together. Another Color that may look good is a merlot red (wineberry). I know in your area a cranberry red is popular. The colors can be tweaked to your desire. The main thing I am concerned about is the overall layout. I beleive that these logos have good balance and style. I usually design in black/white. If the logo doesn't have balance in black and white, no amount of color will make the design work. These designs do work in the single color which is also a plus for other printed material. Look forward to feedback. Thanks

A merlot with a touch of gold outline. Not sure if you will be able to see the gold on your display.

I will be leaving town on Thursday July 2. I will be taking my laptop with me, however, my response time may be delayed. I will be checking this site in the evenings if you need me to revise any designs for this contest. Good luck in deciding and if can be of any help, please do not hesitate to ask.
