Entry Number 1 Interests me the most. Perhaps you could add some sound waves into the mix. Think less big heavy car bass system, more, the flow of an audio waveform.
Entry #2 interests me due to its font. I would like the font to represent a lighter tone. Not a comic font, but something that's close, or halfway if you will. Less bulky. I would also prefer a slightly darker blue.
Interesting, but I imagine the sound wave being being separate, (or "external") yet, integrated into the logo somehow. What I don't like about #4 is the red in LMO. I think LMO should be one similar color. The blue is on. Not the exact shade I had in mind, but close!
Awesome I really like where you've taken this to with #1. The font is close to what I want, but should be slightly more on the professional side, less on the cartoon. Slightly. I also really like how you've offset Productions to LMO. This is what I'm going for.
I really like the soundwave you chose for #2. I believe this symbol with a different concept could work really well... Imagine the soundwave is coming from LMO Productions. LMO Productions is creating the sound and the waveform is a result thereof. Visually, perhaps externally, or halfway. Creating a sense of movement.
The word Productions I feel should really speak, so having it in black would probably work best. Small change, that you really don't have to make, I can visualize it. Notice how #3 really stands out among all 4.
Lastly, I wouldn't be opposed to having a shaded, slight background. With a sort of vignetting. Could be interesting, but keep it subtle.
Lastly, what about making a switch? i.e. LMO being in black, and Productions being in Blue?
An idea also would be: The sound wave in the "O" has so much force, that it penetrates though the right side of the O and bursts out the other end. This would create more movement, and may jump more. What do you think?
hi ian, good evening (Indonesia time 9:25 PM here), how are you? thanks for rank so far, what else can I do to improve my design? please do not hesitate to ask.
Hi ebonk sorry it's last minute. What about playing with Shadows? Accentuating them slightly, especially from off the "O" like in #21.
Lastly, I think the spike's coming out of the right side of the "O" could be improved. Think more along the lines of the waveforms even breaking the "O" open with a powerful sonic blast.
Ok so I seem to be gravitating towards #21 in terms of font/Design. Could you add the white waveform going through all the way to the Black burst on the right of the O? I also seem to think that these two graphics could mesh more within each other somehow. So maybe add one that is similar to #79, and another entirely different one that collaborates the white waveform with the black waveform in a smoother way.
I apologize for my comment about adding a shadow to the LMO, I don't think it works after all. Perhaps it is because it is not subtle, or soft enough. Could experiment with this...
Lastly, How to better #21: Could you add the blue to the bottom of LMO similar to that in #79 and #85? So in LMO, starting from the bottom to the top. A dark blue like you have done, middle color would be the dark black, (could even go slightly darker for more contrast), and the lighter black/grey at the top of the design.
Lastly, I think the white waveforms as it passes through the O could have some sort of black or grey edging. However, keep this quite subtle.
Do you also design Business Cards? I need one designed soon enough!
hi ian, here is my updates #101 #102 #103 . yes, I do design business cards, I would be delighted if you entrust me to design it after this contest ends. thanks!
thanks ian! after the contest is over and if you choose me as the winner, my email written in legal contract. we are not allowed to tell a personal email during the contest is still running.
One last thing before the contest ends. Could you soften up the entire image a little bit. I find the curves, especially in the waveform to be a little too harsh. Sort of what you did with the outline for LMO in black. I guess what I mean is, make the outline's skinner, and less fat, rendering them more subtle.
