Here are some of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as branding stamps, watermarks, shirt badges/embroidery etc.
I've started in its simplest form, monotone ... I've always been a believer if it works in this, it will work in colour. And also shows that it can work for things like newspaper print etc.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
I really love what you've done. I actually prefer monotone. Number 32 is my favourite. Our team is almost all females :) Can we see number 32 with Toronto and team in the same font?
Thanks so much for your entries so far. This is exactly what I had in mind.
Ok. So my assistant thinks the one I like is too feminine... my buyer agent and I are both girls so go figure we love it. He suggested something a bit less girly. He loved your Richmond one with the bear.... that's way more detailed. He said maybe something with a streetcar? I don't know. If $275 isn't enough let me know.
It is quite feminine because of the lines, but it kinda gets balanced out because of the retro fonts and slight grunge effect. Yeah the Richmond was detailed but we can experiment ... That one went with the theme of a beer barrel which worked quite nicely. When you say streetcar could you elaborate? Or do you have a link to something?
Have a good lunch ... I'm based in the UK (London), so am going to go make dinner for my wife :) I'll try get back online later, but otherwise will be first thing in the morning.
The streetcar is very cool! Thanks so much. I'm still loving the first one and thinking since it's so simple it will look better smaller and as thumbnails. Is it possible to see my first choice with the Toronto a bit bigger? This will go out on direct mail pieces and the logo will be small.
Yes of course no problems at all. Here are three versions;
#38 - as per original, larger Toronto #39 - as per above, but no grunge texture over the top #40 - as per above, no grunge texture, but some added to "live love" only
Can Toronto be a bit more Bold in my top pick? Also can I see what it would look like with some of the blue from the branding from our site? http://www.acondointhecity.com/
Thanks so much. I will be selecting your logo as the winning entry. Can you please change my top pick to have established as 2007 when I started. Also when you send over the logos is it possible to have the different color options? i.e. white on black, black on white and both with live love and heart in the blue or do you just send the one?
That's great news and thanks for a great project! Of course no problems at all RE the date change.
With regards to the logo files supplied ... Would be my pleasure to supply those colour versions. What I will have to do is upload the winning file here to logotournament (we're only able to upload one version), and once that is approved by yourself (if you're happy with it - if there any problems we can fix it first), I can then send the additional files directly via email.
