lets keep the swoop on the <g> Can you make the <l>
Capital Ls best but they are too close and need to be moved out and up a bit. What do you think? That is what my sign painter says.
definitely like only 1 loop on these. I'm curious what it would look like with a normal <g> on <learning>. Yes rays coming from <on>. No starburst on the <I>. Teeth closed (not open). I don't like the grey on the hat, so let's stick with white. sooo close
adding the gray as the threads look good doesn't make it busy, one loop of the rope makes it simpler and gives more space for the text, although there is a burst in the background it doesn't make it too dense.
I think I prefer a closed mouth/teeth, no opening in teeth. Can we try 1 loop here and no star above the <I> on this one? What do you think about adding gray color that is in the glove to the hat because the hat its supposed to be threads as in the original logo?
The positioning of the <on> seems strange. Maybe more centered or would you do this lettering at a slant? or how do we fill in the dead space? Maybe move the <on> and add rays?
Is the <e> the same size as the other letters? What if the L’s were moved away and up a little bit, it would also help fill some of the negative space. Now that the letters are the same color and no star burst on the <I> can we try to add the rays back? Which did you like? My husband like the rays coming from the bottom as it looked like a sunset but rays coming from the top or radiating from <on> was nice too.
I couldn't find the exact same font used on the original logo, but I found one that is similar in shape, and it's possible the font used on your logo has been modified.
the original font looks at the word "SPEECH", and I also made the same modifications to the font, the default font is clean without the effect of art strokes.
thank you, I'm on a short trip, maybe in a few hours I will be able to make an update, is that okay?, sorry during this work, the Logo Tournament does not allow communication outside the website, unless the selection process is declared complete.
This seems closest to my original logo with all caps. Can we try the "on" as red so all the word are the same color. Can we add another loop like the original logo as well and try to make the font similar to the original logo? You are obviously the winner ;) just want to nail down the final one. I'm torn between this one and the one with the thinking face looking up but feel we are getting closer. Thanks in advance for your time and making all the edits. Is it possible to chat with you on the phone to get the last edits perfect?
ok, I do like to keep the hat looking like a hat and not blend it with the background. Can we try a different font for the lettering to see if there are any others I like? Can we try no starburst on the I too. I'm thinking no on the sun rays as it does look too busy.
this update uses the same color on the scarf, I like it,
Color selection for the word "on" is based on the color criteria you desire in the brief, with alternative options such as vibrant and beach-like colors. Beach-themed vintage styles commonly utilize Turquoise/light Turquoise colors. It's actually not a problem to use the same color for other design elements, as long as it doesn't get overshadowed by the surrounding colors.
Regarding the use of "lacing" or "outline," it's not mandatory and depends on the design direction you intend to achieve. "Lacing" is applied to separate design elements, making them distinct and avoiding color overlaps. This isn't limited to just white; dark colors are also commonly used. However, this stylistic process might prevent the image from appearing entirely natural, but that doesn't mean it's not appealing. In other styles like sticker art, the use of "lacing" or "outline" becomes crucial. This is because production processes like cutting stickers have strict limitations on color usage, unlike full-color stickers that undergo printing.
When it comes to branding, you should ensure consistency with the initial logo concept across all future media with a vintage theme. The font name will be provided later, but around 20% of the font used in the logo has been modified to make it unique and integrated into the overall design. This is a common practice in logo design. The key is that the base font should not differ significantly when used in other content. Usually, the same font as the logo is used for "titles" only, and you need to find another complementary font that suits "subtitles" and "body text."
I think I like the sunburst coming from the bottom because it looks like sunrise or sunset. Should the "on" be closer in color to the scarf on the neck? Is it too busy? Let me know. I'm not a logo professional and value your feedback. Is there a reason why the hat should/shouldn't have the white lacing on it where it overlaps with the lasso yellow? also when we are all done with this process...do I get the name of the font so I can build branding from this? I will need to work with someone I guess on overall branding to make sure it all matches. feel free to email me henkel.kellie@icloud.com 805 350 1811
Hey, I've made several variations where the direction of the sunburst coming from, it looks a bit busy, but I made small adjustments to the text also, so it can still be legible
What do you think about the font. I like it but I'm concerned that the it is all lower case. Shouldn't the first letter be upper case? What do you think of rope'ish like lettering or is that too much rope? I do like the sun burst on the <I> brings in the "light component"
thanks. Not sure I like the finger up. Looks like a gynecologist type finger :) Maybe softer type finger with a tilt or maybe the hand to the face like thinking gesture thought? or just back to the original with the hand to the face. Open to your thoughts :)
My hair is a dirty blonde. Brownish that lightens in the sun. What about the hand pointing up like ah-ha!! Another thought is instead of the rope background-it’s a sun? Overall I really do love it though!!! Perhaps the yellow hair works because of the yellow in the sign. So far your logos are my favorite
it doesn't always have to be exactly the same because in reality there will always be changes, enough to represent some of you here, but we can try changing the color of the hair, what dark color is your hair?
this is nice too...thoughts on hand positioned differently...maybe looking up with finger pointed up...think about a child getting their picture. when kids are thinking..they often look up...ah ha! I got it!

actually negative space is also needed to provide clarity,
adding the bursts of light and not so accentuated as to keep it from looking busy
for teeth already tidied up
the previous coloring was done to match the reference, with a watercolor effect and slight overlap.
