CEO likes the leaf approach, but doesn't want to use a heart, which this one leans toward a little. He also said it looked like a quotation mark. I do like the organic feel of it, though, and would like to see how this could be tweaked
CEO does not want any hands, hearts or people in the mark (or the LM initials), so I'll move any of those to the "no" column. He loves the leaf concept, but wants it to be a unique leaf so that it becomes known as the Lifematters leaf. Sounds like a tall order...
I'm wondering what this might look like if the person in the mark was replaced by a leaf. I do worry about the person a little because so many of our clients are either seniors or disabled. It may not send the right message.
This is an interesting treatment. We don't want to use the house image, however, because too many of our competitors use it. Also, we're transitioning from a home care agency to a care management agency, so we want the focus to be on comprehensive care rather than home. I like the hand underneath for the care perspective, but it mimics the United Way logo a bit. But there's still something I like about it if it could be tweaked.
This is my personal favorite at the moment by far, and I'll be sharing all these with the CEO on Tuesday. Looking at the font now, though, I feel like it may not look as good with that mark. I know we've been trying to stay with big and bold, but I'd actually be open to some font variants now. If you have thoughts about the font, I'd love to know them. The original was Century Gothic, but CEO responded well to serifs in Museo.
