What We Do
Heating & Air Conditioning service, installation, and maintenance (Primarily residential).
My company name is LexPro Mechanical, Inc. This is a heating and air conditioning business that primarily does residential work. Thus I am looking for a new or revised logo (from the existing logo) to better represent what we do; such as "LexPro Heating and Air Conditioning". How do I get this point across for the designers to know what I am doing? I will be doing a lot of marketing in various print forms and am going to have the vans wrapped to show our new look. Please advise as to how I should proceed.

Color Preferences
I'm not particularly locked in to certain colors, but the colors I'm using now in the current logo are:
blue, red, black, white
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I have a current logo, but I need to remove the words "Mechanical, Inc." for fear it draws too much attention to the commercial market and none towards the residential market which is 95% or our business.

Discussion

#1 & #2: The logo has to be able to look good if printed in a black & white format. I'd like to stay away from the sun and snowflake cliche's if possible. Thank you for the initial proofs!

#95: Shorten the "L" in LexPro like your other versions

#92: Can you play around with the color in this to see other options? Also, I kinda liked the multi-color design, but it looks like it is kind of just stuck in around the name. Can you show options?

#103 is similar to #92 except for the artwork design. Can you use the artwork in #103, but make it smaller to blend in better with the wording so it doesn't look so far out there (like it was put on after the wording, and not really part of it)? The size of the artwork in #92 looks like the right size for the wording (blends well)?

#118: Can you reverse the color scheme on this logo on the LexPro part (blue then red)?
Can you try and fade the colors from left to right with both color schemes (the existing and the one just mentioned)?

It is getting real hard to tell which one I like more. Can you do the same design with the colors from the ad, but fade top to bottom, bottom to top, red then blue, and blue then red? I promise I am getting close to deciding. These are all so good!

#134: Can I see what this logo looks like with solid colors (red then blue) with different lightnesses and darknesses and with and without black outlining? Also with and without the Heating & Air Conditioning in black & red / blue & just blue.

I'm kind of favoring the bottom portion of this particular logo in color. I like how the black outlining brings out the boldness of the logo, but in some cases, it makes the colors too dark (almost black looking).

If the heating & air conditioning words are colored, they must be the same colors used in the yin/yang sign and lettering, not different.

I think that once I receive the various options, I will be able to make my final decision.

Thanks for all your help!

Hello David.
I agree with your comments about the heating & air conditioning words.
I also like #134 the most. I believe that the black outlining looks great in the design.
I'll be happy to help you if you want anything else.

When the final logo is picked, what type of file is it sent in?

Thank you,
David

Can you make the blueore of a royal blue?
It is still a little light (it's almost like light blue now)
