Hi Leslie (and/or whomever else is representing her),
Here is my initial design idea for your campaign logo. I went with a round icon, as that will perfectly translate onto round buttons and other things (hats, stickers, shirts, etc.). Also, you could have the round icon small on signs and then your name large to the right of it. I will display a potential layout like that for your review next!
With entry #2, you get the option of having the round emblem on its own, almost like an alternate icon to the entire wordmark logo.
And the same goes for entry #3, which is just a cleaner, more simplified logo. It all depends on the type of overall look you want to achieve I suppose.
You could even combine the two, if you really wish. That way, people farther away can read it--and those who venture closer are rewarded with getting to see the round icon (which would also be the design used for buttons, stickers, etc. as I mentioned before!)
Another option to really make the design pop, is to add nice highlights, shadows and shading effects! This way, your logo will stand out over the others which are likely just solid plain colors. Granted, for some things (such as silk-screening onto shirts) the effects wouldn't translate. But you could certainly use it on websites and full-color printed materials!
Jake, I think the round logo is too busy. This is a local election contest and the state of Florida within the logo is not needed for entries 1,3,4,5. Entry #2 is the one that is closer to what I am looking for but I do not want the circle with my initials. Also the "Supervisor of Elections"needs to be larger and it needs to list Republican. I am looking forward to any new designs.
Here is a much cleaner, simpler option I came up with. (The "L" with the flag coming off of it could still be a separate icon if needed. We could even turn that into an "LS" flag if you wish.)
Here it is with "Republican" bigger. Or did you mean the latter version with the cursive "Republican" at the top? I can do that one as well if you wish. The red/blue reversed version will come next!...
I like #16 as well. Can we see a version of it without the wavy lines and star next to 'leslie' and leave the rest the same. I think it is a bit too busy. Steve
No problem, Steve. Here is a revised design, based on your feedback. Let me know if there are any other revisions you might want to see, and I will get them done asap!
Also, just to reassure you as the web designer: I will be able to provide whichever file type(s) you prefer to work from: jpeg, png, gif, etc., in addition to the vector files that I always provide (ai, eps, pdf).
