Sorry for taking so long getting you feedback on #80 - this one's tough.
I really like the text effect you used on the word "legato". I don't think I like the grey part of it - maybe you could add some color (but still contrast with the blue under the "slur".
I'm starting to lean toward designs with "icons" like your sphere. Not sure exactly what to do with this, but I would like to see if you could remove the small "spur" from the waves as they come around the sphere, making these smooth sided. Maybe a little color or texture in the sphere, and even make it a little bigger.
Not sure if any of these suggestions will make it "perfect", but I would like to see what you can do with it.
wow..finally, I've got feedback. Great ! Thanks anyway, I really appreciated :) Talking about sphere that I used, if it is using 1 color, will look like letter "L" and "g". But if you want I remove the small "spur" from the waves that's OK. I'll do it.
Hhhmm...I think you like your current font, so I made it for you. But that's OK if you want me to use #117's font. Thanks for feedback, I really appreciated :)
Oh I see what you were going for with #118 and #119, but this isn't my current font. My current font would be times-roman italic. It might help to see one similar to #141 done with this font, but I think the font in #141 and the others looks a bit more modern.
I think this design has some real potential, but I'm getting feedback from people here that it's a bit difficult to read with the "slice" taken out of the word "legato". Would you be able to include the upper part of the slur similar to how you did the bottom part, and maybe fill it in? Different variations using the upper color, lower color, and split upper/lower colors might help.
Sorry for delay submission. These are revision from your feedback. I hope it's close to your thought. and I'm sorry for my poor English :) Anyway, Thanks for feedback.
Ok - I think we're on to something. After seeing our original font in this design, we like the one you've been using as in #144, etc. better. I'm also starting to get some good feedback on the colors in #117. People are thinking it looks like a sunrise over the ocean.
On #144, can you make the slur a little thicker in the middle than at the ends, but not as thick as the space in #141, and also make it a gradient fade between the blue and black colors? We would also like to see this same design in the colors you used in #117 (Orange and Blue), where the slur fades from orange to blue.
On #148, can you make the slur just a little thinner, and outline the text characters without making them any thicker? The outline colors would be the darkest shade of orange you're currently using in the upper part, and the darkest shade of blue you're currently using in the lower part.
The colors in #117 and #148 are good - don't change them. It looks like you made the slur thicker than it was before - we wanted to see it a little thinner than in #148. You can try just turning "outline" on the text we'll see what it looks like.
I hope, I'm not misunderstand now. but if I have it, correct me. And I'm so sorry for the delay, If you have any willingness please do not hesistage to contact me. My pleasure :)
Thanks for all of your modifications - this is definitely getting closer.
Our only issue with #155 now is the orange color - it's too orange (if that makes sense). We would like to see it a little more pale or less vivid, and with an outline around the characters so that the paler orange doesn't appear to bleed into the white background.
We would also like to see #155 done in the same colors as #147, but with the lower part fading from lighter gray to darker gray.
Thanks again for making all of these modifications!
May it caused grey color, so blue looks different with before. I'll trying to save it using RGB not CMYK, I hope the blue color will same with before. Thanks :)
#175 looks good, in fact we could probably go just a little darker on the gray. I don't need you to do this, if this design wins, we can fine tune it in the judging process.
Can we also see #155 with a lighter orange, but the same blue? We'll be using the logo on white business cards and a white web site background. The darker blue goes better with the rest of the colors we are using, but the orange is too deep. If we can get the orange a little lighter, possibly with a slightly darker outline, I think it may work.
Well after all of your revisions, the group here is back to #117 being their favorite, with #155 being a close second. Thanks for all of the revisions!
We're also still interested in an icon to go with the logo, but we didn't really like the icon in your early entries like #111. We may be extending the contest to try to get a cool icon, but if you can come up with something, it would be great. I wish I could give you some ideas, but we really don't know what we want.
We're looking for a symbol, not an initial, and something a little closer to the height of the text. Something that implies "technologies smoothly connected". Unfortunately, I can't give you much more help than that.
Your sample stationary is very impressive and looks great, but we're just not getting "smoothly connected" from the hexagonal shape in #189. Nor do we really see it from the "pinwheel" in #191. Please keep trying though - these are some very good looking symbols, just not right for us.
#192 isn't quite what we're looking for - still a little too much like a pinwheel.
#111 looked a little too much like the Firefox logo to a few of us, and I believe I mentioned the little "spurs" on the edges of the "waves". Depending on how you could modify this, it may work.
Thanks again for all of your revisions - very much appreciated.
