Logo Design Brief

Client
Slogan
Our mission is to enhance the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired.
What We Do
We provide free guide dog, GPS and orientation and mobility programs to the blind, Deaf-Blind and visually impaired.
Industry
Non-Profit
Color Preferences
We do not have a color scheme in mind, so we are open to any scheme that is fun, whimsical and a little bit edgy.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We received a substantial gift from a donor to help fund the gift shop so her name, Mary Jane (or MJ) needs to be incorporated into the logo – i.e. Mary Jane’s Leader Dog Gift Shop, MJ’s Leader Dog Boutique, etc.

We have an extremely strong allegiance to the Leader Dog brand from donors and volunteers who proudly like to wear and display logo apparel and promotional items.

We are in the process of launching an online retail store that will compliment a physical gift shop as well. We need a logo that expresses the Leader Dog brand but for a gift shop.

Potential tag lines to use with logo: Your source for Leader Dogs for the Blind t-shirts, hats, gifts & more; Really Cool Leader Dog Merchandise; Apparel, accessories and all things Leader Dog; Leader Dog merchandise for you, your dog and other best friends; Your source for all things Leader Dog; and A shoppe for humans and canines.

We prefer not to a have a breed identifiable dog in the logo.

Design, color and font of current logo do not need to be taken into consideration.

Discussion

We want to make sure that our logo communicates that this is a gift shop, so the imagery should reflect gifts, apparel, accessories, etc.

One idea that has floated around is an image of a dog or puppy with a gift bag in its mouth.

We would also like a logo that will be recognized as our gift shop without any text, similar to AT&T or Apple.

We really like the look and feel of #7. It's fun, a little bit whimsical and has some nice details (the "J" for the nose and the heart-shaped paw).

We're looking forward to seeing other creative ideas!

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

We like that entries #29 and #23 included a slogan from our brief.
