It's interesting but a little Phallic to be honest... It made us think of an exponential increasing curve... (which mirrors the growth rate of companies that are expected to receive venture capital) Incorporating that into a design somehow might be something special... I remember we talked earlier about incorporating "building blocks" of a business in the logo... but not sure if that goes anywhere.
out of all the new ones 20 got some interest... but not tons... My original comment was inspired by learnvc.com's little block logo showing exponential growth... the thing with the feather is it's a little too feminine... but please don't take down you're entries because they are great talking points for us in our deliberations and help us give better feedback.
if you ever need to use your logo design by itself without your name, my design in #26 would be just ideal for that. It's fresh, clean and very catchy. You can definitely see fast growth, stability and professionalism here in my design. I hope everyone likes this.
Thanks for all of the submissions, it's quite a lot to sort through but we will try to rank them all in our order of preference. I didn't notice the slight tilt in #48 until after reading your comment...I like it. Customizing the logo design in those aspects is highly encouraged. As you can see, a lot of the top ranked designs are choosing other color schemes than the blue/green that has dominated a lot of the submissions. There is lots of mixed feedback about the various versions. We like that it is simple, however, one member commented that it seemed more appropriate for a "quantitatively driven company" rather than a consulting firm advising early stage entrepreneurs. Some members also found the versions with the squares and reflections to be less appealing. There was some concern if those versions were "too complex" and wanted something more simple yet pronounced that would stand the test of time and would present well on corporate stationary and business cards. Hope this helps...
i took your feedback and absorbed it. Here is a logo that represents a consulting firm advising early stage entrepreneurs...like yourselves. The thought behind my design is: I took the letter L...flipped it upside down and then left like a book page in an abstract form. I also took the letter v and flipped it upside down. This is how I came up with my design...I wanted you to know what I intended to symbolize. Also, i think this design is less representative of a quantitatively driven company...you can see a big change from my previous designs. This design will most definitely stand the test of time; most importantly, it would present very well on corporate stationary and business cards. I also took your advise and changed the colors. This design is completely customized to fit your business' needs and I was able to preserve simplicity as well ...is this headed in the right direction? Looking forward to your feedback (good or bad) My feelings are positive. thank you.
I also wanted to mention i've preserved the 5(founders) elements in #64. the ball=1 the arm=2 the body=3 the leg=4 the shadow=5 all 5 elements need each other to create your company.
The team is divided on the ball throwing man. Out of 5... 2 reserved comment... 1 loved it (1 #1) 1 liked it but liked other one's better, and one detested it...
So people don't see the ball throwing thing... think it's like a japanese character... not really sure what to say...
