Hi, here's my first entry. Golf and Vegas you say? I think this should just about cover it. I've created a golf map from the ace of spades - used a casino style font with red and black and got some really nice greens and golf ball to cover the golf side of things. Also added silver trim around everything to add that extra glitz that vegas has to offer the golfer. Let me know what you think and if you'd like any changes. Hope you like. Got another similar idea to follow soon. Thanks. BMF

Another design using a similar theme, only this time I;ve added a full suite of icons all made into golf holes. Again, let me know if you'd like to see any changes. Thanks.

BMF,

Great work. Very creative, and I love the Las Vegas font. I currently lean toward #19; however, I think #20 has some potential as well.

With #20, maybe instead of a circle framing... try to make an old school looking pirate map.

On both of them, the ball in golf looks a little rough/bumpy. Would love to see it look a little more like dimples.

Again, great work! We look forward to seeing more for you.

Respectfully,

Jason

Hi, sorry this took a bit longer to get back to you. Had a bit of a manic week in the office. New designs attached using the card suites in a treasure style map. I've still kept the glitz and class with the metallic finish around the edges. There's 2 versions - one with various vegas landmarks and images related to vegas (MGM Lion, Caesar's wreath, 13 black, poker chips, luxor light, stratosphere tower) the other is just the courses laid out with a dotted line and a golfer silhouette. Also replaced the golf ball on all designs. I'm really thinking these designs will work incredibly well for you so please let me know if you'd like to see any changes. Thanks. BMF

BMF,

Great work, thank you! We really like #32.

I have been bouncing back and forth with the tag line "the best place fore golf in Vegas"; however, I think we have decided to remove that.

I like how clean #33 is with just the golfer, but I also like having the Vegas Landmarks (especially the chips). Maybe we can take out a couple of the landmark items to make it a little less busy. Maybe try taking out the stratosphere and the 13. Or, play around with it and see what you think.

Thanks again, and have a great Sunday.

Hi, really pleased you like it - I love the way it turned out. Have removed the lion and stratosphere. I like the balance of having two landmark references and two general gambling references - let me know if that's OK. Also removed the tagline. Let me know if you'd like any more changes. Speak soon. BMF,

Thank you for the update. I do like the way it is coming together. I am just not sure about the 13 black. Not no mention, I also really liked the lion. Maybe instead of a black 13, we could do a red, white and blue 777.

I like how clean #35 looks, but I like the number of landmarks of #32. Do you think you might be able to play with the positioning of #32 and make it look a little less crowded? I know this is a tall order, but see what you can do.

With that, my business partner would like to see the path a little less loopy. He thinks it should start in the upper left side and end on the lower right. It can wind through a little bit, but maybe not do such a U-turn to end up so close to the starting point. His reasoning is our golf map is supposed to help people get info on the courses, as well as, help them plan the best route to the courses. I do not necessarily want a straight line, but see what you can do.

All in all, great work!

Respectfully,

Jason

P.S. I think we are going to extend the tournament so you'll have a little more time.

Hi Jason, no problem at all I'll get onto some variations and upload them soon. To save you extending the tournament whoever is in first place at the end can submit unlimited numbers of amends until the logo is right for the client for up to seven days after the tournament finishes. But it's no probs if you want to extend.

Also got your note about the font - I'll look at some options and upload them for you.

Will be in touch soon. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey BMF,

Didn't see your last post until this morning. Sorry about that... I hadn't realized that could be done. No worries, as we are not in a major rush for the new logo. We just want to make sure the new logo is going to put the best face forward for us.

Respectfully,

Jason
