Problem with most is that words are too small and art too big. When this is reduced to say a business card or small 1" thumbnail, you would not be able to read the words. The top 3 I choose was because the words were bigger.

In order to make words big but take up little space, stacking the 3 words "landscape lighting world) like #1 ranked logo above is probablyt a good idea.

Some examples to try:
-Try one like HOME DEPOT logo, the Volt logo on my website, Bose speaker logo, --simple design with name/text being the focus, but uses stylized text to make into a unique logo.
-Maybe the "O" in world as a the earth or a globe. Maybe the "O" as a green and black bullseye?
-Maybe a solid green oval with landscape lighting world wittein inside it--landscape lighting stacked on the top inside of oval following top curve, world on botton inside following bottom contour.

Less interested in the overused icons in our industry (spotlight or tree), more interested in simple made-up icon, could be a simple as a green dot.

bigbadbear, I like your idea for #19 ;)

-I like big text but a logo than can still fit in a small area so stacking words is the way to go.
-Like #1 but the globe is a little generic (I wouldn't be able to use the globe its self as a logo).
-Maybe make original art inside the globe (doesn't have to be a map, could be simple round logo--not like Pepsi but that concept of a simple unique shape). Maybe the moon/stars instead of a map? Maybe eco-freindly look globe? Maybe other art instead of globe--play around with LLW letters. Would like to see version with "landscape lighting" bigger (compared to world) and world a little smaller.

-How about making the text more wholesale looking like HOME DEPOT logo -- ie carton stamp while keeping the other comments above in mind.
-I may like the idea of incorporating a moon and a simple tree or the moon and our LLW letters as the art/symbol next to our name.

#26 maybe make just the first letter in each word in the white circle (so you have LLW) and make the other half of the white circle a moon.

Note when I referencfed #1 in above comment, I meant #15 (current #1 ranked logo)

Nice work here, #19 and #36 are my favorites, unfortunately they are not the CH's

#15 Like it. Leave globe as is, but please try some different fonts and word sizes. Font is a little hard to read. Would love to see some alternatives.
#47 May not be the prettiest from a design stand point but it is immediately recognizable which is very important to me. Font is big and bold. It needs the green but don't like the grass. With some tweeking, different use of green, this could be my choice.
#36 Nice, great design and like the concept. Unfortuantely I really want the words stacked so they can be made big and bold without the logo taking up too much room.

like the font and font coloring of #135, the image in #137, The shape and clear readability of #95 for a web page .

Incredible how much work to everyone is putting in, this is unbelieveable!

#135 is the modern look I like in a font and I like the coloring of the font words as well.

I will be leaving my office so I won't be able to make that many more comments. I will review the logos with my family at home and make a decision around 8pm--accordingly I will extend it a few hours so I can get input from my family at home tonight 8pm EST.

#135 font and font coloring the best, #95 like the shape best for a webpage title which is what this is for (e.g. outlined like a badge with a smple but unique shape), the image on #137 is very cool,#149 is probably the best most tasteful design--unfortuantely its too feminine for my market (male contractors, wholesale).

Good luck, thank you, I'll post more comments in a few hours (around 5-6pm EST) so there will be time for last minutes revisions before 8 pm contest end.

Contest is amazing me with the tremendous amount of work put in and logos keep getting better. Accordingly I will run until contest expires. Thank you all for your great work and time. I actually feel guilty for all the work that is going into this. Thank you again.

I need to add a new color to my site to make action steps stand out from the rest of the green buttons. i.e. change the color of things that I want to stand out to increase ording--such as "add to cart" "buy now" "contractor sign-in" I don't know which color I will add (yellow, orange, red etc), but it would be a good to incorporate a touch of this new color to the logo to tie it all in together.

For the image/picture part of the logo think "professional grade" "contractor' "architectural specification lighting" "corporate" and "less landscaping"
