Description:
• Clean, simple, modern and professional. Iconic. Easy to recognize from afar.
• Used for events, so need to be very malleable – easy to use on different signage, sizes, online, print, etc.
• An effective logo that can be easy to modify, likely by use of color, to designate different sub brands (sub events). An example is what GigaOm has for their events:

Bonus:
• Would be nice if it connects to our current Landmark logo somehow, but not mandatory (www.landmarkventures.com)
• Incorporates some of the same font, or style, or otherwise has enough similar to be related – and enough different to be distinct.
Design:
• Can be a wordmark, but since Dealmakers is fairly long so it doesn’t have to be.
• Can be a logo, and then use of the word in a suitable font (ex. our current Landmark logo has 2 parts – the logo, and the words).
• Nice if the logo somehow reminds the viewer of the purpose of the brand – to connect people, to facilitate introductions and meetings, to do deals.
• I’d be open to an abstract logo, or one that potentially connects the DM (intertwines them) in which case DM becomes the shorthand for DealMakers (vs. Dealmakers).
