#28 FANTASTIC! LOVE it!!! Suggested changes: take the gradation out of Speak. Not sure what else to change! This is great! Feel free to offer other tweeks, though!
Also, can you try #28 in a blue instead of purple? Our site is more blue focused (lactspeak.com). Not a navy, but a bright or dark blue-grey would be nice.
Love the new colors! Especially the darker one. Take off the LS on the shirt -- very cute, but our speakers are not actually representing us -- we are just a listing service -- we don't want them to think they have to be anything but independent. :)
Also, looking at the microphone -- any chance that could be less detailed, more abstract so that it will reproduce more easily?
Also, this logo will be only the first of many in a series because we are creating many allied listing services focused on different topic areas (like doulas and birth, etc). We will probably change the color for the other listing services, but keep the character image. Will the length of the swoosh line extend to fit different text lengths?
Hi, I made this mike less detailed, no gradients or spark. I can also accomodate your other listing services and show you how they would look with different length swooshes. Just let me know what words you would like me to substitute. Thanks.
Just talking to my partnerJake and she wonders if we can go just a little darker on the green, change the shirt to something more professional -- maybe with a collar -- so she doesn't look like a cheerleader. We would also like to see what this looks like on a darker background. She is worried that the think characters of "Speak" will disappear and not be easily readable on a darker background.
Anna, Jake and I were looking at your AMAZING portfolio and loving how so many of your logos were very colorful. We wonder what it would look like to incorporate more color into this logo. Feel free to let loose and do what you are so good at doing! :)
Ok, a few more ideas for #36: Nice work on the shirt! Maybe the orange Speak could go to a tad darker green to get more colors in. We're also thinking between the long flowing hair and the way she holds the mic, she looks more like a singer than a professional speaker, so maybe there should be a podium? Maybe even instead of a mic?
more conservative hair on this one, substitute the swoosh with a more recognizable podium, put the mike on the podium so it's more obvious, but can be removed upon request.
Anna, this is getting SO good. We are very excited! Definitely like the readdition of the swooshline. I see that the character is smaller now -- is that because she goes too high with the addition of the podium? I liked her larger, but if it won't work I understand. On the colors: The blue is perfect. Can we go back to the original green shade, but maybe just a tad darker? We'd like to have a third color on the shirt, but Jake really hates orange. Can you think of any other bright colors for an alternative? Can you also show us the next one in two versions -- one with short hair and one with long? I like the symmetry of the long hair with the swoosh and the energy it connotes, but the shorter hair is more professional.
Ok, I can tell now that she is larger. Great. And you brought back that original green. Also great. Is that a shade that will require spot color printing?
Can you do a version like #34 with that green in the shirt?
Anna, #55 is fabulous. I think the green works best, but will see what Jake thinks.
She and I are still trying to work out whether short or long hair is best. I think long because of the symmetry with the swoosh line and the energy it conveys. I think Jake likes short because it looks more professional. Can you tell us your opinion?
One last thing I wonder -- the lines on the lady's shirt that give it definition for the color, her waist, and her breast line -- will they show up adequately when printed? Should they be a tad darker?
Hi, Anna -- Sitting here at an outdoor BBQ with Jake. We decided we want to go with the blue shirt in 47 with the additions of the bolder lines, etc.
We are also talking about the hair. Jake's worry is that it is too Anglo and we want to be as inclusive as possible. As I said before I like the symmetry and energy of the longer hair. So the compromise we'd like is to see if you can do the sort/medium length with curls of some kind -- somewhere between tight and flowing.
Once we nail this, we will end the contest and move forward with the ad.
