This is going in a better direction.

The crown could be simpler.

Add some more depth to the k, maybe some gloss or a subtle outline

Maybe have the full domain so it does not confuse people kseries.org

Anyone reading and coming up with a design I am still interested in different ideas.

A little over kill on the suggestions.

I would like to see the first one with subtle changes and maybe just add a kseries.org below entry #2.

I do like the crown in entry #4 better but could still be slightly simpler.

Maybe a darker red or possibly Goldish bronze...

The shape is not the same as a Kseries engine, perhaps look at some of the images from the first page. Not digging the dot for the kseries.org and the elongated i guess exhaust.
