I've just had a look at 'A Splash of Bloom' and I really like that style of logo with the flower in the backgorund and the name across the middle; bolder use of colour would be good.
Here are few more options. In case you didn't know...the final files on the logo you choose will be submitted in CMYK; Cyan Magenta Yellow Black ......for professional printing which does not support the vibrant colors of RBG /Red Blue Green.
I will need to be out for the day but will check back this evening or tomorrow sometime.
Sorry, but I don't understand the CMYK vs. RBG... what does that mean? I really like #15 which is why I ranked it 1st (at this stage). Whilst I like your choice of colours, I would like to see it bolder as I feel it's too subtle.
Oh my, I just tried to post and my signal went out and came back just now :-(....I will try to post later this evening or tomorrow afternoon. I am so sorry for the delay but will try again tonight.....I was trying to explain the CMYK and RGB to you...
What can be done to make the statement bolder with color is use contrast with a bold background which is one option that I tried for you here. Any colors may work...if you have any suggestions I will do that for you.The roses can be reversed or color as well.
Now for the RGB/Red Green Blue...these are typically used on personal printers, web colors especially which can be vibrant colors...some Kinkos and internet printing companies may use these ink color combination %s but when used with printing inks the colors unless a special ink is used lose their vibrancy but will be vibrant on websites. The CMYK is Cyan Magenta Yellow and Black which is a 4 Color Process which makes up all possible colors when printing with professional printers. or the colors can be substituted for Pantone Match System Spot Colors..for 4 color printing....I hope this helps you...it can get confusing sometimes........so for your website all the vibrant colors you see on your logo designs will be will be the same...but they may look different when printing. This will help you a little when you order any printed materials. If you have any other questions I will be glad to help you. I will check back in the morning CST or later afternoon tomorrow. Thank you again! Tere
What are your favorite color combinations?....what colors do you see that represents the feeling of your company?
That will help us also.
You may post general comments at the bottom of your contest wall as you think of things that will help us. And continue to post individual comments as you already are doing...and thank you for that!!!!! Not many of the CHs stay with us like this.....we really like to keep open communication with you.
Hi Tere' Thank you for your explanation, I really appreciate it. As my business will be only online, the colour issue: CMYK vs. RGB is not critical. Could you please provide a couple of changes to #15?... change the colour of the stem to charcoal grey with the rose red and maintain the current font (using charcoal grey for krystal and red for rose) and then change the font to the same font and font colour (pink) as #12 but apply it to the #15 graphic; with the stem to be charcoal grey and the rose to be the same pink as the font colour in #12... let me know if you're confused!... thank you.
I will be very glad to do that for you...but can't get to it until this afternoon. I appreciate your input....and I'm not confused, you explain everything well and are very concise...you're a designer's friend indeed!! :-)
I'll be back on this later this afternoon, Thank you Tere
Thank you for the additional designs. I like #76 but would prefer the colour to be a couple of shades darker than #62 (both the grey and the pink to be stronger). Is there any chance of moving the graphic in #76 to the middle between krystal and rose and using the same grey and pink (stronger colours of grey and pink) as the text... thank you.
actually I can't put the rose in the center because that is considered a protectable concept that another designer did...only if they withdraw their entry.
But I can add it centered above as a general location. and I will send the bolder colors though.
#178 Here is this one with the subline... Wasn't sure if you wanted it all lower case since you typed it that way...let me know and I can change it. Thank you Tere
Sorry Tere'... yes I did get your design. It's Friday here and it's a working day for me, so I'm trying to get my normal job finished early so I can have another look at the designs. I should be able to get back to have a look at them in the last 3 hours of the contest. Do you know how many hours you're behind Sydney time, just so I have an idea when the middle of the night is where you are? Regards Mark
Hi Mark, are there any adjustments that you may still prefer to see on any of my entries. keeping in mind that any adjustments in layout and colors are endless. If you want to see more impact with the same elements as they are.
Thank you again for the opportunity! I wish you well, Tere
Hi Tere' Thanks for your email. I've pretty much decided on which logo to choose, but I just want to check a couple of things... As I'm definitely going ahead with the ladies hosiery is it possible to get the logo with 'ladies hosiery' on its own as well as the logo with 'ladies hosiery and accessories'? When I move into selling accessories, I want to be able to change the logo on my website to include 'and accessories' In addition, I want to be able to have a sign made up to go on the back of my car window... I don't know what it's called but it still enables you to see out the back of the window from within the car, but from the outside you can clearly read the advertising... basically, what I need is a file suitable (clear, sharp image) to give to the sign guy to get it made... do you know what I mean? Many thanks Mark
Did you mean message?...I have to be careful because emails during a contest are violations points...
I certainly will get on this for you in a few minutes...
Yes, I understand what you mean on the car sign...the file will be formatted for what the sign company needs. Most likely they are working with an EPS or PDF File but to be sure that can be finalized with them as well.
Once you pick the logo you want and your contest is Completed that file is uploaded into your LT account then after you approve the files... the next step would be emailing you any additional files with variations that you want on that particular logo as well as any other formatted files for your sign company.
I will get on the additional tag lines now...I just now was able to get online. Thank you! Tere
Sorry Tere, I didn't mean to violate any rules; as you're ranked #1 I understand that I can only accept entries from the #1 ranked design. Regards Mark
Oh no, you didn't violate any rules...please don't worry...
That is true only the 1st place can submit entries...since our conversations are viewed by admin and other designers after the contest ends I wanted to clarify that we weren't emailing...but everything is okay. :-)
#189 and #190 I submitted with just 'Ladies Hosiery' One the line is larger since there is more room.
