i was wondering if we could get some info on the meaning behind the name? is there any relevance to the numbers 7787?

Oh my, I am terribly sorry! I've accidentally added my username as the contest / project / site name. I'm new to Logo Tournament...

The actual name of the site is GAMEWATCHER.

I can't believe that I did that... :( Completely froze up when I saw your logo samples with my username instead of the site name.

Yeah sorry! I didn't knew if I should laugh or cry when I saw those Kres7787 samples :\

And guys / girls, can you PLEASE upload your samples over the sample design that is in the contest description? I can't really judge a design outside the spot where it will stand in the design. So I would really need to see it implemented in that sample. As my main goal is to get a logo that will look good with our design.

we are not allowed to upload images that have any sort of background image, its against the site rules (put in place to keep the community folio uniform and clean) the best we can do is upload the logo with the orange colour as the background.

if its a huge problem i suggest you email the site admin (go to "Help" -> "Contact Us")

Kres7787 ... we can not put anything that is not the logo ... so stop with your request about and contact the LT-s admin.

please ... we can-t submit a logo with a haomepage as background.

i suggest you to solve this problems quickly ...

We can only submit with orange background!

Ah I see. Ok I've sent a complaint to LT :) :( not sure why that's the case since that was something that I was most looking forward to. I can copy paste your orange samples I guess, but also thought somebody could adjust the shape of the logo area of the design for the need of the logo. Now, that option is not possible. So a bit disappointed honestly. :\

that's because this website is designed as a logo showcase, so it really about the logo and not the application,.. i think.

Then please at least orange background since it will go in that empty shape on the design. Thanks

One idea. How about going with a Tower observing instead of the eye theme?

Or something else, not sure what. Eye seems a bit too obvious to me.

Reading your brief and thinking hmmm but surely the logo should be able to look good on its own and on the site?
thinking a bit more your maybe after a strong logo that has to stand above the high amount of artwork from the all the other game titles etc? am I right? something that could work on the cover of a game itself occupying the space well?

Most certainly Marzy. Both of those aspects that you've mentioned are critical :)

Please note that I've updated the contest description. We had a poor setup for logo so we changed the design to: http://www.strategyinformer.com/tests/index_gamewatcher_v3.jpg

Notice that I pasted our competitor logo there (D2D), so of course that logo needs to be removed and our logo placed there. We don't really want to clone it, but its style fits that design very nicely. So anyway, some guideline at least.

it is in your best interest no to eliminate all the designs..with over 9 days to go..I can assure no designer will enter when they see this contest with only 1 designer entered especially if that designer is Offbeat and all other designs marked Not Interested"

Hi,

There were good examples by other designers but I was mostly interested in what Offbeat did so far. So I didn't wanted to have anybody waste their time if I don't think that pushing their idea would work.

I still need to see if Offbeat can do something that we're talking about.

And if somebody else wants to give it a try in the meanwhile they're free to do so. I did prepay $400 for this contest, not knowing what will be made. So any good designer with a good idea has good chances of winning this contest. It's not important to me who he/she is.
