Here is my entry. The meaning behind the small tree growing above the type, is to represent the children.

I like this a lot; it represents peace, healing, growth; I am wondering if we should have the slogan 'real solutions for real pain' along the bottom or if that is too much?

I added the tagline under the logo for you and I think it really makes it look nice.

I think the tag line should be included; I was wondering if the tree gets a little lost due to the width of the words; should the text be a little more compact so the tree appears to be more prominent?

I have tightened up the text a bit to make it more compact as requested. I agree that it does make the tree more prominent.

Mike:#10; this looks better,tighter; sorry to be picky but the letters 'RND' look a little cramped; can they be made a touch thinner so there is more space between the R-N-D?

You're not being picky at all! I welcome the direction you're giving because this is your identity and it needs to represent you and your company.

I have revised the logo so the "RND" was spaced out a bit more and the letters are thinner. And I have also aligned the "R" in "Real" and the "K" in "Know".
