What a delight to get your entries. Our team thinks you rock. So, the owl intrigued many of us. You combined a symbol for knowledge with people. Cool. So, would you mind creating a number of variations of this? The current version isn't quite there. We're pretty confident we want to use a dark, royal blue in the logo. Can you try some combos with the orange and green in there? ...I guess we're not fans of the light blue owl color. I few different fonts to look at would be nice too. We like what you have, but might also consider a sans serif font. We really like #59 too. Good job!
Try these changes to #73 Ruri. Make the eyes the same color blue as the owl, but change the word Mob to orange... Make the orange #f88009. Make the blue #0b5084.
#86, yeah, we actually like the blue you were using before better :-) Can you change it to your blue? Also, can you do a few more variations with something under the people? You rock. Thanks for your time on this.
Hi Ruri. Can you make the green line in #102 orange? Also, we like the versions with something below the people. In some instances, like #88, it actually make it look like a giant owl in front of little people, so if you wouldn't mind continuing to experiment, that would be great. Stick with the font from #102 and the orange and blue. Thanks!!!
Thanks again for your your feedback. Here is the update version as requested (#122). While I'm keep trying to experiment with some element below the people.
1. First new version: simply italicize KnowledgeMob. Also move the beak left one pixel and up two pixels. 2. Another version: make the two outside people just slightly smaller than the middle person (I tried this in Photoshop, looks pretty good). (and move the beak left one pixel and up two pixels) 3. Third version... combine the two versions.
I just want to inform you that I will be offline for the next few hours. It's 7:37 AM in Jakarta. And really need to get some sleep to re-charge my energy :-) So if you have any request, please don't be hesitate to leave me a message. I'll be back to you to give my response ASAP.
OK, you're going to think I'm nuts, but would you try something simple? On version #122, if you look at the blue between the three heads, the blue areas form arrows pointing downward? Do you see that? By making the two outside people smaller, and then moving them in (#136), those arrows go away... I know you may not have even seen them before. Anyway, If you take #136 and move the two smaller people out a pixel or two, I wonder if that effect with the arrows comes back while maintaining the smaller people. Can you see if that's true? You may have to make the outer people a smidge bigger, and that's ok. We just wanted a slightly noticeable difference. If you get what I just described, can you make an ital version of this and a non-ital? I think we're getting close here. :-)
Take #122 and only move the beak left one pixel and up two pixels. We don't actually have a version with the beak moved, but without italics and the three heads same size.
Would you be up for a few more ideas? Would you mind making a few more that are just the owl, perhaps one with the owl filled in (no people) and maybe some other owls. One colleague asked for a few owl variations. For some reason, some folks I ask to give opinions don't see the little people, so instead, the owl looks really crazy because they don't actually see the people. So, several of us thought, perhaps we should just use the owl.
Now, if you have time on your hands (I'm sure you don't), several others wanted to forget about "knowledge" part of the name and just concentrate on the people, because the opinions of consumers are what make our business work. So, if you have any fresh ideas around the people, (like #59) that would be great too.
Feeling sorry with the response on the concept that we've been developed from the beginning. In my point of view, with the owl that stands for knowledge, people that represents the mob and the pixels as a symbol of datas have been straightly catch the whole points that need to be conveyed through the logo as solid form and aligned with the company name. It describes how the owl gather people and captures the opinions and perceptions of millions of consumers and then analyze and transform the whole datas into a valuable informations.
But, it's just my point of view as designer. And of course it's all yours to make the final decission to choose the right logo for you.
Here are some options for your consideration (#156, #157, #158, #159, #160, #161, #162, #163, #164, #165, #166, #167, #168, #169, #170 & #171).
Thanks for the note earlier. It's not the owl concept that's the problem. It's what the logo looks like if someone doesn't "see" the people. Pretend like you don't see the people as people, but has a part of the owl. It makes the owl look more like something from the game space invaders. That's the problem. We want it to work.
My apologize for the delayed response. The font used on #179 is still in the same font family. Swiss721 Cn BT for "Knowledge" and Swiss721 BlkCn BT for "Mob".
Here are the update versions for your consideration: - some color options for #179 entry (#190, #191, #192 & #193). - Bold version for the name in the same font (#194, #195 & #196). - Regular & bold version for the name in the same font (#197, #198 & #199).
