What We Do

King Carnahan Visuals is a photography/video production studio, shooting weddings and lifestyle portraits, that specializes in blending photo and video together into a PhotoFusion product.

Color Preferences

Will be used almost exclusively on a white background. We'd like to see mostly black with some accents in a dark red, #5f020d.

Our Ideas & Additional Information

At first glance it should scream "creative". We don't want to be mistaken for a bank.

King and Carnahan are the principle's last names and the brand is about the photographers, not the photography.

We'd welcome the use of the tag line "photo cinema fusion" in the logo but it's not necessary. One alternative could be the use of the initials "KCV" in conjunction with the full name.

Try to avoid obvious reference to cameras and film sprockets. Oh, and please, no crowns. :-)

Hi Dragonfly, Thanks for jumping in and being first. Good effort but not quite what we're after and here's why.

#1 was the best but I'm not a fan of this particular bold typeface. I like the offset design with the slogan but I think film sprockets aren't right for us. Also, the red should be an accent color and not the main color.

#2 same as #1 but don't like the star.

#3 perhaps some variations on name and slogan in this configuration, without the filmstrip.

Hi designers,

thanks for all the work so far. A bit of clarification as I see the options roll in.

We're not looking for a symbol representing film or photo incorporated into the logo.

Classic fonts may work just fine but we're not afraid of creative typfaces, as long as they are easily legible and can possibly be incorporated into the overall branding.

Think young, hip and cool... with an edge.

Keep up the great work!

Hi all,

I'm starting to use the "not interested" option, not to discourage, but to move out some designs that don't quite follow the parameters of the contest brief or are variations on a good design, that doesn't quite work.

for instance #10 - black background variation of #5
and #12 with an obvious reference to film or photo that we don't want.

As I mentioned to Dragonfly, I'm labeling "not interested" on similar designs that contain emblems. They just don't seem to be working for me.

I still like #7 and #8 but would like to see something without the symbol.

About an hour left and I'm going to try and keep up with feedback as best I can. I may stop ranking everything for know, just because it's becoming difficult. Rest assured, after the contest is over, all viable designs will get a rank!

Hey CH...asking a designer to use concepts and type treatments of other designers is not cool.
amarino is already skimming off my design... and now you ask him for sans serif letters in the blocks (polaroids) like mine... 'cause before myself, i cannot recall anybody doing that design wise.

mkdes!gn, I'm sorry you feel that way but that certainly wasn't my intention. Looking at the two side by side, I can see how you might think that but I did not have your design in mind when I asked him for sans serif in the polaroids.

I've put it back the way it was.
