Hi so sorry, our team selected another winner. However pls send me your email address as we may have other projects for you besides a logo (screen print, etc.).
I actually like this one better than the last one I commented on. Same comments though - pls make leaves thinner and take-off the "arms" to simplify it. Thank you!
Thanks! Can you pls make the leaves a little skinnier? It looks like he has fat legs, haha thanks. Maybe take-off the "arms" to make it even more simple?
The more I looked at #248, the more I felt the central design element needed to be moved up a little bit. So, I have shown that here, but I haven't withdrawn #248 so that you can compare the two and decide which placement you prefer.
I've also corrected a minor error in the way the overlapping lines are represented.
No problem, I can only work on comments in the morning anyway since I have my baby to look after in the evening. Will await revisions tomorrow, thanks!
I'm working on this simplification now. I have some family friends over this evening, so it may be tomorrow morning before I have something to show you, but I'll incorporate the extra text element as well. If you have any further thoughts, please let me know and I'll try to work them into the next revision. :)
Can you pls work on simplifying the tree of humans/leaves inside? Looks a little crowded. Also doesn't have to be a tree, could be a "plant" if a leaf in the center where the DNA strands meet, then some "humans" on either side. I'll let you play with it.
Can you also pls add "humans + nature + balance" in lower case letters in the same line weight as "DOM" on the bottom of "KINDOM"? Thank you.
I'll upload the white on black version in the next few minutes.
I'll also experiment with the central element of the design, but it will take me a little longer. Hopefully, I'll have something new later this evening. If not, early tomorrow..
Looks great! I like how you cut the lines on the DNA, it also has a clear visual of how it twists as well. Can you work on simplifying the tree of humans/leaves inside? Looks a little crowded. In #202, I cut the lines of the DNA where they crossed to give the sense that they were weaving in and out of each other. But, I let the lines merge when creating the tree to symbolise the coming together of the two strands.
I've given the tree the same 'woven' treatment as the DNA strands in this variation just in case you prefer stylistic consistency over symbolism.
ALso, can you do a second version that is not a crown, but like a Japanese crest? Like incorporate the DNA strand, human and leaf into a Japanese crest somehow? I like the symmetry & simplicity of Japanese crests. Thank you!
I've uploaded a few revisions. Please see entry #96, #97, #98, #99 and #100.
I have made the DNA more oval and also replaced a couple of the circles with leaves. The monolinear style prevents them being too detailed with the lines at this weight, but I can add some veins, if you're ok with me making the weight of the lines lighter throughout the whole design.
I've also experimented with several different font styles and treatments, including sans serif, serif, inline, bold/light and small caps.
It may be that none of them is 'the' one, but I'm hoping to get a sense of the ideas you're most drawn to so that I can experiment further.
I'll be logging off soon (it's 10:40pm here), but will respond to any further feedback first thing tomorrow.
My original sketches included alternating 'heads' and 'leaves', but I never recreated them when I digitised the design. I'm really not sure why, since part of my thinking was to connect animal and plant life. :/
I have a bit of family time now, but will work on revisions later this evening.
Thanks Steve for the clever logo. Can you pls make the DNA a little more oval instead of round-ish? Any way you can incorporate plants, like a leaf shape maybe instead of the circle (people's heads)? So play around with alternating the leaf and the head? I also like how you bolded the "KIN". Can you also play with different fonts? I like the simplicity of it.

Apart from making the leaves more leaf-like, I've moved the middle elements up so that they're more central, giving the design a better balance.
I look forward to any feedback you might have.

It would probably benefit from a redraw to get the curves more accurate - I'll do this if you prefer it to the earlier variation.

It's a circle of DNA that breaks out at the bottom to form a tree with the foliage represented by alternating figures and leaves.

I've kept the design in B&W at this stage to focus on the concept.
I welcome any feedback.
