Here you go a scketch based on your brief where you can ask for any changes or make any suggestions.
I think that is a layout that represents very weel your objectives in a fun and elegant way. It can be used in both dark or white backgrounds and keep the strenght... If any sounds promising, even after contest ends submissions are possible for the 1st ranked designer.
Kind regards,

Claudia

Thank you Claudia. I like the logo with the exception of the picture. Will you show me some other variations of a picture reflecting the "human-pet" bond?

Hello and thank you very much for your reply. Since I think you wanted a more serious and less fun approach, I've made these 3 layouts (first 2 with the caring hands, since animals bond mainly through our touch, wich they love, and another one more like the trainer is teaching something to the dog, with a vigillant and alert attitude.
Wish you a great evening and know me at your service till the end of your contest,

Claudia

Hi! I could get some time to draw some new dog's shapes for your consideration, using your prefered typefont too. I think that the "bond" idea can be represented by the half circles that embrace the dog (posting inverted half circles too) and also my innitials version with the full dog cenetered and the C from Canine using the same kind of circles.
Wish you a great day and all the best,

Claudia

Here you go 2 new layouts for your consideration. I've drawed the abstract dog shape to match the name in horizontal and also the german shepherd head, in a ver characteristic position but in very simple brushed layout like you seem to prefer. Posting white and gray gradient options.
All the best,

Claudia
