Hello! Yes, I like the idea and I am particularly fascinated by the elegance of #17. I also like the font and the symmetrie of the colors. Please note that there is no space between Karin and Jorga.
Greatly appreciate both the feedback and the fantastic ranking! Will revise and remove the space between the typography and upload first thing in the morning.
#43 without the space is now my favorite. Is there anything you can add (or design additionally) to link the company name to life and/or science? In your logo, I see the expression of quality, competence, expensive and style. This is great, beacuse that is how I see me. I am also looking to somehow express in the logo what I am doing. May be this is too much to ask, but it could be that you have an idea.
Fantastic feedback indeed! I prefer less is more to logos and life in general.... but non the less will take another whack at adding some more symbolism to the logotype!
I agree with you on less is more and if I am not completely convinced I would always go back to the purer version. I just have a lot of trust that you can add something without destroying what is already there :-). Have a wonderful day!
New entry utilizing the letter mark in a leaf #67 and #68.... more modern but still a lettermark of the end of the letter K and J but making it look like an abstract dna symbol.
Good Morning from Switzerland! I agree that it is hard to improve on the the KJ in #43 and I still like it a lot. One comment I received from my Web Designer was that the logo might be a little too high for some applications, however, I think moving the KJ in front of the company name, would mess it up. What do you think?
I also like your suggestion #70. The pictograph is nice but could be perceived as a flower. Could the connection to life science be made stronger?
Good morning! Yes.... the symbol can be moved to the left of the typography. It is a variant that will be delivered it the final template along with back and white as well as inverted colors. Web designers are not the most creative people and based on your logo they do their job..... not the other way around. Will upload some new designs when i get into the office which should be in a few hours and hopefully am still in the top 5.
Good Morning Michael! Thanks for your note! Yes, you will still be in the top 5. I really like your logo and hope that we can continue to work on it. I agree that the design is what matters (otherwise I change the web designer :-). Karin
.... and back to the top :-). Thanks indeed!! I also like #173 very much and will rank it as well. I also need your advice on the colors. I really like the dark grey/dark red combination as it is very sophisticated. The only problem is that one of my strong competitors uses exactly that color scheme. Is there any other color combination that you would suggest goes well with the logo and keeps the image of quality, competence, reliability, style etc.?
Of course i can and will be my pleasure! Two color combinations are the best, especially for offset reproduction (printers) for cost efficiency. Since you are in the life / science field.... i believe that a nice turquoise color would be superb.... not too strict but also not boring and the color also gives off a medical field vibe.
Here we go..... #176 / #177 / #178 / #179. The logo is versatile enough to be easily color adjusted to your liking... as long as the two colors have contrast between them.
May be it did not help :-), too many options and I am still back to grey and red as it looks the most sophisticated. May be we can try a lighter grey and a slightly more brilliant red, but this is not urgent.
Hi there, many thanks for offering the variations, this helps. What is your view? I keep coming back to the original colors that you chose, because they are really strong with the logo. I also like the turquoise version, but it looks a little bit like "wellness".
In the future I will use the logo colors in my powerpoint presentations (this is the main deliverable of my work). I am usually using a white background and black font and then I would use red as the color for highlights. Sometimes a need a second highlight color and this is why I suggested in my color preferences a combination of blue, red and grey. With your logo I am afraid that a third color would actually weaken the design, unless it is something subtle such as the like. The blue/red versions do not appeal to me as much as the dark grey with red or turquoise.
Any advice from the expert is welcome :-) (I stopped asking family and friends, as they just drive me nuts....)
When asking friends and family chaos occurs.... because simply everybody has an opinion.... and the opinion that matters most is simply your own... pure and simple :)
I personally am also between the ones you like also with emphasis on the dark red and grey... Colors are just colors.... the main feature is the simplicity of the symbol itself and the work that YOU do.... remember....you are selling yourself and your services.... not just the logotype.
Hi there! It seems that there is still not much too improve on your design. It is still pretty much the way you had it as entry number 17 and now, 200 Logos later, it is still on the top. I guess that speaks for itself :-).
So just in case, you are getting bored, I have a request: My company tag line is "Competence in Drug Development". I do not want to have that in my logo all the time, so I am happy, with #173 and 43 (with may be a little fine-tuning in the next Phase). But I would be interested to see an additional version where the Tagline is put near to the logo. Would that be possible?
On the final vector template i can have all these variations (horizontal, vertical) with and without the tagline so you can use it wherever and whenever you best see fit. Expect it uploaded in the morning.... i have it at my office computer.
Many thanks, I have now put the 4 variations that I would like is to work on for finalization on the top ranks, so that I have the better overview. Once I finalize the contest, I will move the 2nd and 3rd designer back up, so that they can get there credit.
For logos #173 and #43, could you also show me the bigger typography? What type face is this actually? It is funny, but in the smaller version, the typeface looks rather sophisticated and then in the slightly larger version is seems more "playful", may be because the subtleties of the characters are more visible. I prefer the sophisticated look, but I am concerned about readability. What is your advice?
I like the tagline version of #243. It comes across very nicely now. On my screen it looks as if the vertical line is a slightly darker shade of grey than in #143 and the red seems lighter than before. Can you double-check and adjust the colors to match with #173?
I think you came very close to my idea with the green in #244, may be we can just try a stronger version as I would like to stick with the darker grey that we had in #173. Here you chose to make the tagline grey and I assume it is because the green is a little to light. Is that correct?
Once we have finalized the color and font selection for #244, I would also like to have the variations #43 and #173 in that grey/green color scheme (see my private note).
Okay... just got back... On the requests...... 01. The better it reads... the better it is understood and can be legible. 02. The red is the same as is the gray 03. Sure thing.... in the red one the grey is 90%... on the green entry it is 80%.
I will upload 4 variants Red and green in horizontal and vertical.
Thanks for your feedback, I think we are almost there and can soon wrap this up. There are only two points that we need to sort out to ensure complete happiness :-)
1. The increase in size of the text "Life Science Consulting" somehow changed the way the logo feels particularly in the horizontal version. If you tell me that the font size in #173 will be readable on a business card and most common applications, I would stick with the smaller version, otherwise we need to look for another solution to increase readability.
2. For the grey/green version, can we use the 90% grey and also try a slightly stronger (darker but still fresh) green?
Sorry about the delay Karin.... Here are two color and type weight alterations #246 / #247.
The size is 6.5 pts..... but it is Cap letters so its is actually around 7.3..... and is also bold so it wont have any issues on a business card or letter head.
Dear Michael, many thanks for all your efforts. I am now going to select your logo as the winner. Congratulations!! I am very happy with the outcome and really appreciate your responsiveness and professionalism throughout the contest. You managed to find the perfect balance between addressing my wishes and also challenging my ideas when you knew they would not add any further improvement to the design. That was extremely helpful to me. I am looking forward to working with you again. Karin
