#43 #48 #42 all have an origami feel, not necessarily a direct fit for us but I do like the idea of structure, design and some surprise with the extra piece hanging. We want to represent a trusted brand, so I'm not sure we can get away with too much playfulness. The color balance in these seems to work well to achieve that sense. I'd be curious to see versions where the letter "A" is the reference in the abstract mark rather than the "K" since it represents Abilene, the market where we serve our audience.
I'm curious to see some with the triangular thought bubble but solid rather than the hollow space inside the pieces. Alternatively, what would #100 look like with white space to form the triangle instead of the black elements? We don't need "media" in there, just KACU. Thanks!
The palette in #225 looks good. I think the comma symbol inside the "A" is probably overkill. Could try a version without that. We will need it to look good when in one color, printed in certain instances, so want the shapes to be distinct even without color. Feels like there's more room to experiment with the comma as speech bubble. We're looking for sophistication in its simplicity.
