Thanks! I did a bit of a research on architecture in your town to get the historical feel that you're after... and I had a bit of fun drawing the beer, there's lots of cool little detail in the bubbles. I've gone fairly simple with the typography so please let me know if there's any variation on that or other elements that you'd like to see. I'm really pleased you like these! Cheers, Robin.
We really appreciate your efforts. Your style is just what we're looking for. We did stumble into something. This is the first beer event this town has ever had in it's 200+ year history. And really - it's a chili cook off more than it is beer. The town is concerned about the prominence of beer in the logo. We love the buildings - but is there a way to make chili primary and beer secondary using a bowl of chili or a spoon - rather than the peppers? I hope you understand - things get political about alcohol over here in the states depending on the place.
Heheh you wouldn't think the cultural differences between the States and Australia would be much, but here it's politically incorrect to NOT give beer prominence! :)
No worries, I understand how theses things work... It is early morning here now so I am off to work now, but will put a new version or two together tonight my time... give me about 15 or so hours.
Here's a few new versions as requested. I've got each element on separate layers so if you have access to illustrator you'll be able to use any of them separately or move them about for other designs. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these ones.
Robin - We love it. (entry #23) Last revision and you got it. Please do the cut out blue background like seen on the others and it's done. Thank you so much. I love your style. We have another festival under development. I'd like to reach out to you for that as well. I know you put a lot of work into this and thank you.
Here's #27 with the background as requested. Thanks for the positive feedback, it's great to hear! I'll be keen to have a crack at coming up with something for your other festival. I'll also be keen to see what you do with this logo and maybe see some pics of the actual festival once it's happened. I put a big effort into this one because I like the idea of supporting an inaugural small town event. I really hope it becomes an on-going success!
