Color Preferences
There is a color nail polish called "Let's Talk 929" by Sinful Colors, will attach a screensave of it. Would like it to be used somewhere like the leg of the letter "K" This logo needs to read as street signage in front of the homes I have designed, so that when driving by you can read it as well as business cards.
Black is always a good color
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please read color comments above. Also please see the attachments. I have a couple of degrees in music as well as Architecture, so the J and K would have abstracted reference to the Music "G" clef if that makes sense. Also my middle initial is E for Edward and the JeK appeals to me as well, see attachment. I love the notion of negative space, I also like the color reversal of black background white letters, it needs to be lean clean and modern but not to put off the traditionalist which still comprise most of my business, am seriously trying to steer myself into the modern architectural design, have degrees from Parsons NYC and SciARC in architecture, would like to do something worthy of those years of study!! But most of all be creative and don't let my crap stifle you! hahaha

so nobody likes the color purple? even just a suggestion of it will help identify the logo in this community. Every design builder here in San Diego has a color associated with their logos, but not one of them has the courage to use purple! hahaha, or maybe no one is crazy enough.........I am....

So I think just a suggestion of the color, just a dash of it, not too much, and it really is a dark blue/purple like the attachment. It has to read from the street

Thanks to everyone who posted. Now that we are in the final 2 days, I better be more active in this contest, was out of town for a few days. Now that I have seen the color purple until I am sick, let's switch it up and use a dark blue violet, it should really be vibrant!! The Name "John" does not have to be in the design, but the word "design" has to. Remember that it must be able to be read from a passing car, as well as a business card. Maybe part of the logo can literally be "out of the box" as most of my work is....too literal? If there is a way to make the logo appear more three dimensional that would really help. Maybe one of the legs of the K or J is more sculpted or 3-d like? Again, I will be much more active in comments these next two days....and again thank you everyone for contributing, very much appreciated. John
