Entry #15, This logo looks nice. I would like to see how it would look with a bit more color. Also, this website will be a worldwide competition between martial artists and martial arts schools. Can you make something with something that represents the world? (perhaps the circle as the world or Earth?) Thank you,John
I really liked your logo, but unfortunately someone has brought to my attention that this is very similar to the Black Power logo. When I Googled it, he was correct. I am not sure if you have access to see the current #1 ranked logo, but it best describes what the website is about. I do not think the color is right, but that is the direction I believe it should be. If you cannot see it, please let me know.
Hi john, thanks so much for your thoughtfull feedback. As for the black power logo, to be honest I have never seen it before until you brought it to me here. Well, if you google "fist logo" you could find lots of similar logos with this, because it's a martial arts logo. Its the same as the currently 1st ranked. If you google "martial arts logo" or "karate logo", or maybe "karate silhouette", you will find lots of similar image. Its because a martial arts logo which has obvious element such as fist, fighting, punch or kick pose, etc.
The reason why I'm using fist, is because fist could be used more general and universal for martial arts rather than using other element which has a particular kind of martial arts such as jiujitsu or taekwondo pose. Because fist is a basic element which (I think) every kind of martial arts use this. Hope that make sense..
#40, #45 I am s sorry for missing your feedback, I just read it today. I am still kind of confused on using this website. You are correct about the fist. I liked the way you made the logo kind of distressed looking. There is a little something missing but I can't put my finger on it. It's more than just a martial arts symbol, it is a wold wide competition. The winner gets a trophy. These should maybe play a part in the logo.
Thank you and please accept my apology for not getting your feedback until today.
Hi John, no worries. You didn't do anything wrong since just missed it. In fact, I thank you for giving me the feedback to get me on the right track.
I have submitted few new submissions for you. I made one of the figure holding the thropy and the other one challenged and trying to defeat in order to take over the trophy. Let me know what you think about this. any feedback would greatly appreciated.
Wow, Wow, Wow, I am speechless. Your work and creativity is awesome!!! If I can please ask for a few changes. #100 has the letter "S" in the wrong color, it should be the same color as the word "Art". Also, can I please see the website name with the same type of "distressed" look like you have in #45? (please keep it in the same place as you have, just distress it a little, it looks "tougher" that way.
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback, john! Feel free to add anything you would like to see. In the meantime I working on it now and will be back soon with the updates!
I believe you went above and beyond my expectations. I absolutely LOVE #127. I am ready to declare #127 as the winner. I just have one more question. Is it possible to have the logo exactly as you have it here, plus have one with a transparent background where I can place it on different color web pages instead of just black?
Thank you for such an awesome logo and your very hard work, John
Sure john! once you have completed the contest, I will send all the final files directly to your email in any format you need - included the transparent background.
I believe you sent the wrong files. There is an error in the logo. The letter "S" in the word Arts is White instead of Yellow. Please resend corrected files
I am sorry for interrupting your busy day again, but I had one final question. The "eps" file you sent has additional lines going through the image of the earth. The file also states that it's locked. Do I need this file unlocked? Are those lines supposed to be there?
Thank you for any help you could be so I understand, John
